Cruised through the cable schedule re Speed channel, looking for the broadcast time for the Dutch MotoGP. Nothing to be found.
Went to the cable schedule under sports, and found the race on the CBS (Local) CHANNEL!!!!
Have they no shame? Of greater importance, will the trend continue? Is marginal mainstream attention in our future???

Nobody in the U.S. watches motorcycle racing. I'd like to see that change.

racing on TV just don't thrill me.. of any type.

Perhaps if it was more technical kinda like how nascar will have a screen shot of the gauges and pedal amount..

I think that is a great move. I hope there is more mainstream coverage of motorcycle racing.

I like and would watch all types of racing. If only there was a real motor sports chanel that covered everything? All my spare time would be spent glued to the idiot box.

Bikes, Flat trackers, Hill climbers, endro,mx, road racing. plenty of action to be seen there, I'll watch all I can get.

Boats, Unlimited hydro's, Champ(F1)outboard tunnel boats, Offshore super boats, Drag(lake)boats. If you never been to a pro boat race, do go if you get the chance. Them racers are nutz.

Cars, IRL, Champ cars, USAC, F1, Sport cars(LeMons) NHRA, NASCAR. No shortage of four wheel action to be had.

Please somebody give me a real motor sportz channel that covers all MOTOR SPORTS, I promise to spend all my waking hours watching.

Sports involving playing with a ball bores the heck out of me. I would love to watch motosports but the coverage is sparse. Motosports and bike racing in particular is much more entertaining to me. Probly cuz the use both balls!

baseball
basketball
football
tenis
etc
= one ball sports.

sports where the use a big engine and especially on two wheels = full-set-o balls-sports

They do that all the time Ryker...

Moto GP has gear, lean angle and RPM along with throttle and brakes. Same with F1 save for the lean angle of course, but they do show lateral G forces.

Its cool that the mainstream media is picking some races up. What stinks is that CBS uses there own announcers and technical data. So you get some of the rpm stuff and timing , but not like the races on Speed.

I also like the European commentators better, they live the sport, know the all the racers by name and have an insane amount of energy. I have all the respect in the world for kevin Schwantz, but he comes off a bit flat. Just my 0.02

I'm glad I caught it. I'm too cheap or maybe not paid well enough to afford all those channels like speed. It was cool to sit with my 8y.o. daughter and show her what those guys can do. Sure beats having golf on. I for one am glad to see any coverage of motorcycle racing on a regular station. Yes, they dont cover it as well but at least they did have Schwantz there with his knowledge. A bit flat but there none the less. Theres my 2 cents, thanks for listenin.

I can't disagree more strongly on the CBS versus Speed coverage. I do not like the shrill grating gotta comment on every little detail coverage that the Speed MotoGP race British commentator sees fit to spout almost non-stop during the race. His Aussie partner is great.

I MUCH prefer the CBS commentary of Schwantz and friend. And the high definition is great too.

I'm thinking that CBS got the coverage not because Speed didn't want it, but because they paid more to get it. Speed did show the 250GP race, albeit on Sunday a day after it occured.
