The B-king needs to drop off that Judge Dread helmet looking headlight. The exhaust is nasty as well.

I like that BK... Oh no... Everyone's gunna start calling them the Burger King...

Anyway : )... With aftermarket cans and a couple little mods to the fly screen that bike would be a MONSTER!

/EDIT -

That said though... I wonder how spensive those air intakes with integrated signals are when you drop it???

I like the dirt bike. The other two look like really big exhausts with a motorcycle attached to them : (

Everytime I look at a V-Rod all I see is the exhaust, same with some of the Suzuki big cruisers. Bling BLING

I did and do like what they did with the 2007 GSXR750 muffler though:

Hope they don't wreck it for 2008, it's on my short list.

That was the first thing I thought!

Maybe they've got it so souped up, it'll lock up the rear tire whenever you close the throttle.

(Like my Cyclone did on cold D208's)

They should paint that Blubber King red and green. That way, it would look like a frog in a blender.

Have you ever rode a close ratio six speed hard?

They all need slippers in my opinion, unless you really like wheel hop on hard downshifts.

Who needs to hard downshift on this?

Every 'Busa I've followed at the Gap was doing all it could to stay on the road in the curves let alone slamming into any hard downshifts.

At 480lbs and 58.5 inch wheelbase (compared to 390lbs and 55.7 for R1 or 395 lbs and 52.0 for the R), it ain't the tool I'd choose for the job of corner carving.

A slipper clutch just don't make sense. Might as well be a chromed extended swing arm.

I am surprised Suzuki didn't give the new Busa more of a radical facelift. It looks so similar to the previous model that it's tough to tell the two apart. And damn those big cans hanging off the back of thing, ugly. I was hoping that they would have utilized some of the small stuffy mufflers like the GSXR1000 has. I keep on seeing this black ZX-14 riding around here in Toronto and it looks long and low and mean. I'm sure the new Busa will be a great bike but I was really hoping for more from Suzuki in the hyper bike category. 1500cc's would have been cool.

The new Hayabusa should be pretty impressive. The existing Hayabusa makes some ~70ft-lbs at the rear wheel all the way down at 2k rpm. Increased displacement and compression should result in even more low end grunt. It's a bit of a porker, but it's only 10lbs heavier and 1" longer than a VFR800. It wouldn't be my first choice for a track day, but with the right set of luggage it would make an awesome supersonic sport-tourer.

I want one to commute 10 miles back and forth to work, and play with at the track some. It is cheaper than a Harley and Waaaay faster.

We also have a Old airstrip close by that does top speed runs, and I would love to hit 200mph on a bike!

Who needs to hard downshift on this?

Contrary to popular belief some people actually ride Busa's. Given it is only a minority.

I hope to see a 'Busa "rider" one day.

All I've seen are drag racers. Hit a curve and they crap their pants.

For those folks, a slipper would be of benefit. Odd to add it to a bike for such a small minority.

The Busa's feel pretty stable in the curve's the few that I got a chance to ride through(6-7,many times over). It isn't no Buell, but it handled well. I believe you just got to remember that your on a heavier bike and set up a little sooner. I'm like Spike, with some hardbags, this would be just the bikefor long rides two up. I have been seriuosly looking at the M109r for two up riding(what's new for 08?). That or the V-Max! But the Busa is a serious contender, granted one could be bought, paid for, and then insured with title in hand.

On the BK the exhaust looks like a heat seeking missile slammed into it but didn't explode!
Busa's are cool, the look has grown on me....

"supersonic sport-tourer"

Had they read this, you would have just made 5000 20-year-olds piss themselves in outrage!

If Suzuki's catering to a "target market", then the slipper clutch is probably there for the street cred. Word.

I sat on one at the Atlanta International show, and it was easily 10x more comfy than the Firebolts. Not as good as the Lightning or Uly, but waaaay better than a lot of others. I wouldn't mind it at all.

rich... i like it. love the GPS mounted right in front. only thing is, at 160, when it says "turn left here", do you really have time to make the turn?

or does yours say "turn left three miles ago"? : )

Many would be surprised how nimble the old 'busa was. I took a mates bone stocker around Eastern Creek Raceway, Sydney for 2 trackday sessions and was blown away by its cornering ability. It did stress the front tyre to being the limiting factor and this would be expected with all the weight but I was able to hang with most punters in the corners to totally wipe them off the track once it was standing upright and the throttle pinned.

The B-King....Shudder. Not my cup of tea.

I too have considered a 'Busa for a sport tourer. There are enough aftermarket Sport tour bits available to do the job reasonably well. Not my Cyclone, but fast enough for rampant stupidity, or quick delivery of transplant organs. It's got to handle better than my old GS1100E. That was a point & shoot machine.

Bags and a windshield a better seat and the Blast makes a pretty good sport tourer. It'll go as fast as the law allows.
