I have already talked to a few people and have offered up my help/services/garage ... Figured I'd post here since we are getting close to that time .. Depending on when you plan to arrive here - my garage will be open on Thursday early to accommodate cleaning up bikes from the road trip - I am only a minute or two off of I-94 in Milwaukee..(hotel parking lots aren't really suited to do this) and I have anything and everything to take care of your bikes ... (www.cleanestcars.com) <-- And no - I'm not charging - I'm just offering up help and the equipment - not soliciting here .... also - if there is any mechanical concerns - my garage is also open since I am only 15 minutes from Hal's ... air conditioned, stocked with tools, and a full fridge ... Thursday night is the drag strip night at Great Lakes Dragaway .. we are all to ride out from Hal's at 4pm .. that leaves the first half of the day to get bikes ready, and cleaned up .. Friday after the factory tour I will offer it up as well before everyone heads to RA ... Anyone interested let me know, or check the RAN for contact info ... The 'Check Your Nuts' garage, and a wrenching day from last fall...

That is really generous of you. My wife and I will have around 1500 miles of road phlegm and bugs on our bikes when we arrive. How do we find you when we arrive? |

Very cool offer. I didn't know you were supposed to wash your bike? Geesh, who knew that? |

Brian, Terri and I will be in Racine sometime Wednesday, or maybe Thursday. We're taking a scenic route, and don't want to plan too rigidly. I have your phone # from the RAN, and will give you a call once we get there. Once again, that's a neat offer! |

Ok Kristi, here ya go: BudC, Rental Manager and Buell Lead @ Hal's. I'll be working each day but I am also co-ordinating all of our Homecoming events so I hope to see everyone at least once. I'll be commuting from Waukesha. By the way, if anyone still needs a place to stay I've got an empty house next week-the wife and kids will be in the Northwoods all week. I have two acres out back so plenty of parking too. You can reach me on my cell at 262-470-4241. If anyone needs a bike, I still have a Ulysses and a City X available for rent. Don't forget to sign up for our VIP Welcome event at Great Lakes Dragway next Thursday. Registration is just $5.00. That gets you into the track for free, food and soda at the track, and a great time! We will be leaving the dealership at 4:00 pm to ride to the track. Steve Mackay and Brian "Tattoodnscrewd" have planned out a great ride. To register, just call me or stop by the store when you get into town. Thanks, BudC |

I figure I would just throw out a reminder for Thursday's activities - if you come in early call Bud at Hal's to get signed up and registered and all that jazz for the Great Lakes Night ... And whoever wanted to take me up on the use of the garage space .. I will be home by 10AM or so Thursday morning but will have my cell with me .. Give me a call Wednesday or Thursday when you come in ... we can figure on driving out from my place to Hal's for the ride to the dragstrip ... We will be leaving my place between 3:00 and 3:15 to go to Hal's - that should still leave plenty of time to take care of the bikes, talk sh!t for a bit and ride out ... See everyone soon ... |

Ok, I'm going to make the trek out there. I really haven't planned anything yet, other than leaving St. Paul sometime Thursday mid afternoon. So I need to register somewhere? I was also thinking about camping. Any input on that? My funds are semi-tight right now (as I'm sure all of us know that deal)...camping sounds like a nice alternative to a hotel, and I don't mind lugging my tent if I've got a place to pitch her up. If I'm planning on getting into town around 5ish, should I be heading straight to Hals? |

Actually ... rolling in around 5 on Thursday will be too late ... we will already be at the dragstrip .. We are rolling out from Hal's at 4 ... As far as camping - there are a couple campgrounds that are fairly close .. but maybe contact Bud at Hal's .. he has offered up his place to those in need of a crash spot - he has a few acres so I don't think camping will be a problem with him - but contact him to make sure. |

Yeah Interest Bud mentioned having space to me when I talked to him the other day too. The people are what really make these events, and I'd suspect that since Bud is a "temporary bachelor" he might enjoy the company of a fellow Bueller. |
