The badweb boards (all of them) are loaded with " , ', (, ), etc. in all the posts. Is this a glitch or some secret code? If code, can I join the club and get the secret decoder ring? |

It ain't me, so it must be some kind of code. You'll get your secret de-coder ring when I get mine. I'm not sure what it is, really. Blake could be doing some changes in some part of this ancient BBS software, that's affecting the message portion of the BBS code. |

Glitch, does your secret decoder ring always tell you to drink your Ovaltine like mine does? |

"" , ', (, ), etc..." That is a flawed display of something that was in HTML and fell out of the fold. The last two digits of each is the ASCII code for one of the characters in the ASCII character set. If you hold your Alt key down and enter the two digits from the number pad (not from above the letter keys) you'll see the corresponding character displayed. Examples: " = " ' = ' ( = ( ) = ) Jack |

I don't know that I am comfortable having characters in my "fold" anyway. Maybe this is a good thing that they fell out. |

I think the failed character translations are my fault. I think I have fixed that as of yesterday. If not, please let me know. If we switch to anything it would likely be the VBulletin. Still some things that Discus provides that no other forum software does, so it is a difficult choice. |
