Hey Folks, Quick question,When I turn the key and flip on the starter toggle ,my nuetral light as well as my oil light are both on , is this always the case when oil pressure is low or am I low on oil, I can't remember if it'a always been like that or if I'm low,my level looks ok visually and you never want to over fill , thanks ,Gary |

Are you asking "Should the oil light be on after my engine starts"? If you are, I wouldn't think so, mine turns off sometimes even before the engine fires. It may be time for a pressure check, or a new sender. |

Gary, The light indicates low oil pressure, not low oil level. It should be on when you turn the key on, before the engine is running. After the engine starts, the oil light should immediately go out. If it doesn't, you either have a bad oil pressure switch (easy fix) or a mechanical problem (NOT an easy fix). DON'T keep running the engine with the oil light on or may wind up with REALLY bad mechanical problems. |
