Hola all, Have the stock (?) Dunlops on the bike (as I bought it). Sportmax D207: 170/60 ZR 17 Rear Sportmax II D204F: 120/70 ZR 17 Front Best tire/value? How wide can I go on the back? San Diego (hardly rains, rarely cold, rarely that hot). General riding. Thanks SB |

Just put a pair of Pirellis on the M2, very happy with the result. |

I currently have Conti RoadAttacks on my S1 and am very happy with them. They are a sport/touring tire so they handle really well and last much longer than most of the sport tires. It looks like I will get 10k out of my rear easily (I only got 3k out of the dunlops). |

Surf boy, stick with the original sizes.Wider means an adverse affect to handling.Unless you merely need Bling,Bling. That's ok too. |

You can sneak a 180/55 on the rear. I've done it (on my S3) with DOT race take-offs from my own XB9. Bigger and you need to start cutting stuff. Like others have suggested, going "fat" only affects handling badly - and it does nothing but give you a bit of a "ghetto" look. Cool if that's what you're trying for. I can't comment on streetbike tires because we haven't hear just what kind of riding you're doing - long distance/cruising or spirited sport/canyon riding. Two different sets of tires. For general riding, I've heard the Pilot Roads are good for lasting and also decent in the twisties but I've got no experience. Read up on pressure recommendations - you actually use Factory recommended pressures for the long, straight, high-mileage runs and for the canyon runs, MUCH LOWER pressures. Those "racing" pressures vary a lot from tire-to-tire depending on construction. |

Michilin Pilot Roads are the way to go. Little harder compound than Pilot Powers, better wear, longer lasting. I agree, stay with the specified sizes according to the manuel, believe it or not those guys know of what they speak. Ride safe. opinions are like ________, everyone has got one. |

For tires, I suggest you go with Dunlops, Metzelers, Continentals, Michelins, Pirellis or Avons. Now, about what oil to use... |
