2006 XB12R
D&D Muffler (sounds fantastic!)
Open air box mod
stock ecm and map

All oils changed right before dyno (Screaming Eagle synth w/K&B lifetime oil filter)

I havent pushed the custom map Al sent me with the direct link thru yet, but I cant imagine it would help that much (with the hp and torque will probably help the a/f). Its fat at the beginning and a little lean (15.7 at the highest point in the middle) then comes back down to where it needs to be at the end.

I guess what I want to see is a stock dyno thats close to the temp and humidity if possible. I saw a stock one dyno at 94rwhp and 76lb ft on the same dyno (dynojet) but didnt see temp and humidity. And mine is at 81rwhp and 70lb ft???? (see dyno pic in the next post....)

Evedently you just cant beat the stock setup performance wise

I dont know how to load these damn pictures. But 13rwhp or so less and 7lb ft down. I gotta say its not worth the money I spent at all!

why do you say that? that bike was putting out give or take ten more horse than any stock 12 i have seen dyno ever did. usually most i have seen were low 80's

you what? why wouldnt it help? trust me when i say it will! or atleast it sure did on mine

on the dyno that the exhaust shootout was done on, my 9r got about 93/4 horse and 73/4 pound foot of torque with my SS drummer put on it. that was ofcourse after 8/9 hours of direct link tuning with the help of the guys there. Al pushed making it to his plan to fly back home because he stayed to work on my bike so long trying to tweak it as good as he could

lol, thats a double jinx 6:38 and 8:31

yes it should make a decent difference, but the D&D is not really a BIG number pipe. it kind of drops on the bottom and top. has a nice kick at about 4500 though or atleast it did on mine.

it may not make a huge numbers difference(i dont know the before tuning and after numbers on the same bike) but you sure should be able to feel how much better the bike runs after it has the right map in it.

and now matter what anyone says, it isnt always about the peak horse and torque numbers. it is the whole curve that usually makes somthing good or not.

Wow, I guess I will have to load it and see. So yours went from 74 (D&D and stock map) to 93? (w/D&D and custom map)

I guess that one I saw bone stock at 94/76 wasnt a good example to go by if they are usually around low 80's.

no i also switched to a drummer SS and a new map at the same time, so that made a big difference also.

I never did a before (all stock dyno) I figured I wouldnt get an accurate reading being it wasnt gonna be the same day type thing.

I guess I can always go by the track numbers (1/8 mile run a couple of weeks ago) at 7.66 @ 93mph (that was bone stock)

The few I've seen at our shop are high 80's HP and low 70's TQ with exhaust, aircleaner, and race ecm.

Unfortunately nobody has bothered to put a stock bike on our dyno yet.

Well then, I guess its not as bad as I had originally thought. Sounds like its about where it should be without the tune. Good to know.
