Very interesting read.

One year a buddy of mine was cut off by an old man, my buddy follows him to the gas station and asks the old man what the deal is, old man swings his cane and gets a quick punch to the nose, old man falls over and wife calls cops, buddy takes off and sees about 8 cop cars on their way, buddy goes home.

Now I don't think beating old people up is funny but this made me laugh. The old guy was obviously a jerk or a-hole and shouldn't think he can attack someone with his cane and not think they are going to protect themselves. I bet if my buddy would have hung around for the cops he would have went to jail for the night.

I still get a chuckle out of this though.

But it is never a good idea to follow someone just because you have road rage, it gets many people killed each year.

Oh ya Rick, I think the guy would have had a good case against you if he attacked by the way.

First off you can't prove he brake checked you or do you have it on video?

Second he can prove you followed him home in a fit of rage and verbally confronted him in an offensive way.

Thirdly he attacks you because you are threatening him and followed him home.

Cops come you say he brake checked you, guy says a dog ran infront of his car and he hit the brakes and didn't know anyone was behind him until he gets home and is confronted in a threatening way by someone that thinks he almost caused an accident.

Cops haul you off to jail for the night, issue you a few fines and then your wife bails you out.

Time taken on above senario 3hrs to a day and some out of pocket $$$$$.

If you just went home nothing could have happened.

You got lucky and scared the crap out of this guy he grabbed the first thing in sight because he was scared, give him a second to remember he has a gun and realizes the PVC piping isn't going to work. You see gun and lunge at him in struggle a few rounds go off, you get shot, wife gets shot, a baby gets shot. Guy gets off in self defense.

Pick your battles wisely is all we are saying. People are crazy.

"I'm telling you she was not following close."

Then why pitch such a fit over a brake check that wasn't a problem???? Totally unnecessary.

I hope that the cost and technolgy will come to the marketplace to allow the consumer to have video cameras in there cars.

Some are on the market now just not what I like or are too $$$$

He said... she said is sh1t compared to video! I'd tell my verion to the police then only if needed later on in court would I hit the play button right in front of a jury.

When I got hit in the rear by a cop. The picture I took that was shown to the jury sealed my case tigher than ---- insert sick Micheal Jackson or Priest joke.

Read the above. I didn't pitch a fit. I talked to the man. What progressed from there was something else entirely. The fact that there was no rhyme or reason for it is why I stopped to confront the idiot. I believe that's all clear above. If I had to describe it any further I'd be writing a frikkin' novel.

First off...

Any scenario can be argued, analyzed and hypothesized to death. I knew the guy was bluffing. It couldn't have been any more obvious. I don't think luck had much to do with it.

No! I have the answer!

Pull up behind him and tell him one of his brake lights is out, when he walks behind the car to check it RAM him!

Then melt the neighborhood down.

To be fair to Rick, I, for one, have done much worse and been much more irresponsible in similar situations in the past.

It must run in the family...you should hear the stories about my father. I once saw him confront someone that had a pick-axe in his hand... it was our next door neighbor!

That guy hates me to this day, but he's nice to me... I guess until my dad dies.

That You Tube link above was sick(read:disgusting).Rick, you also terrorized that guy.If you're so close it requires frantic braking, you're too close. He was WRONG for thinking he could meter out justice, but you followed too close.I've pulled to the side to let obnoxious drivers pass but, enough is enough.Nowadays i just shake my head in disbelief of all the blatant red light violators. We're sinking to anarchy. We can no longer appreciate the value of gasoline. The "I gotta get there,me first mentality" is driving us to he11

We were not too close. I don't know where he's from but this is a suburb where heavy, slow, close knit traffic is the norm. Two seconds is the rule...he had at least that much. We were strolling along behind him. He was driving like an ass the entire drive. Maybe he had a bad day...regardless, anyone who endangers others and himself, in essence using their vehicle as a weapon...deserves far worse than he got from me. Such people have no respect or concern for themselves or others.

That you tube link was interesting but it's the typical YouTube hoax...as described by the original poster:

Yup, it's a video from a group of friends who were really bored.

Total fantasy.

uhh....oh.Ok..but still very sad to see civilized adults behaving like that.I'm NO saint, and would probably (sadly) react the same.

Such people have no respect or concern for themselves or others.

And usually lack the humility to admit wrongdoing and add insult.Leading to the victim becoming MORE angry.A vicious cycle
