Well... TODAY was the day. I rode my NEWLY acquired 99 X1 this evening for the FIRST TIME since the sale of my 98 S1 back in 2001. DAMN !!!! its NICE... Makes me wonder WHY I EVER went to a rice rocket. I was SMILING ALL EVENING!!!!!!!!!!! With each corner and each gear change I just kept laughing inside my helmet. Its GREAT to be back.. Now... I need to get me a Tourer as well  See yall and be safe, Matt. | ||

Yep !!!! But I AM REPENTING.. I did about 2 hrs of HARD REPENTING today... Even got off work EARLY to head to the HOLY LAND !!!! Came home and CHANGED all the oil and primary fluid.. Now she FRESH and ready for the weekend. Matt. | ||

Dude 6 years? How did you get thru it? I went nuts the last time we had 6 days of constant nonstop thunderstorms, and then i ended up riding in it anyway. | ||

In 2001 I sold the 98 S1 and bought: 2001 GSXR 1000 and a 2001 TL1000R The TL was much like the Buell, power wise. However... it was a PAIN in the butt to turn and handle... It was SOOO heavy in the corners.. that i just did not like it. I kept the GSXR 1000 till about a year ago... I was at the time a Police Officer for the City Dept here... and well with 6 days ON and 3 days off... court scheduled on the 3 days off.... I NEVER had time to ride. About 8 months ago.. I swapped over to the STATE (University Police Dept). We work the Panama (12 hr) schedule and i have a TON!!!! of time off. Plus about 7 people at the Dept ride EVERY DAY. I had been looking for those 8 months to find a Buell... Lucked out and found one in ATLANTA GA... not tooo far from me.. Drove up and hauled her back. Had about 3 weeks to get her NICE and CLEAN... I was involved in a HEAD ON collision during that time.. breaking 2 ribs and a BUNCH of bruises and aches... Still healing... but get ALOT better. Finally a couple days ago.. I got to ride.. I was a tad sore after wards but... no biggie.... My body cant take REAL long rides due to it still healing up.. but she looks great in the garage. Now... I am starting to look to ADDING a S3T to the house as well.. but just looking for the RIGHT one with LOW miles and GREAT condition. *** welll.... i gotta take a nap.. I am on MIDNIGHT shift through the weekend. See yall.. and BE SAFE RIDING OUT THERE. Matt (LEO SOUTH GA.) |
