Don't think we'll need it, but sure glad we've got it!! I've turned into a worrywart.
After difficulties making things hit in our window of opportunity, everything came together Friday. Made a deal with S1eric on his XB9R on the phone, found the funds, got insurance, booked a flight, all at once!!
Shipped Beck (becksbuell) off to complete the deal and ride it home to Chattanooga. She's excited, but with butterflies. I can't ride, so I'm jealous, but excited for her. She's never ridden an XB, or anything that far, especially 870 miles on interstate. She's a back roads curvy kind of girl.
It was important to do it now, because Nevrenough lives in the area, but is working here, and was planning to bring his M2 up Monday. Having a BadWebber to ride with made the idea feasible.
Neil(nevrenough, a very nice guy),and his wife(very nice too) have picked her up at the airport, taken her to Eric's(another very nice guy), who, while having all kinds of trouble at the moment, made things work on his end, picked up the bike, and put her up for the night. She got to meet Buellistic, who is yet another very nice guy.
They are making the ride Monday morning,(I'm still jealous) the only concern we have is the original 03 belt, but we'll hope for the best. Just in case though, any BadWebbers between here in there, could get the call to guard a wife and a bike, till I can get there with my trailer, and send Neil on so he can be to work on Tuesday.
The RAN is a comfort for a worrywart.

Isn't it amazing what you can do with the help of the BadWeB? My thanks to Neil and Eric, who made this work.
Now, when I'm able to ride, I'll have a bike until I get my M2 back together, or at least until Beck takes it away from me.
Ed

Rotzaruk (ED)
I wish you could have seen her face after the test ride. EAR TO EAR smile !
It was nice to meet Becky and your friends. And much to my surprise I actually met Neil a few years back in Ybor City. He was on his M2 and------ as always I was on my S1. We had a good discussion about exhaust systems & other Buell things.

I threw in a couple of other goodies with the bike. Battery charger & helmet.
I really wanted to keep that bike. I even ask her if I could take it down the street one last time. (sniff) Then I stood at the end of my driveway watching it drive away.

I can`t think of a better place that bike should be than in the hills of Tennessee.
However I think you are going to have a hard time getting a ride on the XB, Becky has claimed ownership. Good for her & not so good for you. ha.

On a positive note. I got pops up & out of the hospital bed. We went for a few laps around the hallways & he`s on he way to recovery.
Gotta run

S1Eric

It looks like the RAN can stand down, they were just south of Atlanta at last report, should roll in here within the hour. Beck said she brought lots of bugs from Florida, and a major body part is majorly sore. She's anxious to get close enough to home to get on the backroads. She usually comes in from a ride happy, she may be mean tonight!!

Thanks again Eric, glad your Dad continues to improve, better warn the nurses to watch out for him!!
Rotzaruck!!

Thanks to all for being on stand by to send out the rescue troops! But we did indeed make it. And now I'm a proud new XB9R owner!
Wow, what a ride
Thanks to Neil (Nevrenuf) for gettin me home.
And to Eric(S1eric) for the bike. LOVE it!
I think I'm finally recuperated from that looong trip.
Good enough to ride today!

Hold On!!!Wait just one minute!!!

Whose bike???? I'm the guy with the busted bike, hers is perfectly fine. Geez one little ride 600 and some odd miles, she claims my bike. I said, "I'll ride it till I get mine (and when I get me) fixed, and then maybe, just maybe, you'll be ready to move on up off the Blast, and you can ride it"
She said " Oh! but I love my Blast"
Fickle fickle fickle!!!!

But I am glad they made it

they found a few bugs

sore tails, but still smiling!!

thanks neil, for the escort

Okay, maybe she can BORROW it for a while
I finally crutched up on it, but no way will that foot go under the shifter......yet.
Maybe I could just ride in first.....
patience patience patience aaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Glad they had a good ride home! I can't imagine riding that distance. My hat's off to ya Beck!

Neil - good of you to escort Becky home. BadWebbers are the best!

Does this mean we'll see you three at Buelltoberfest?

Neil said he was going to drag Ed, so I'd say we'll see all three of you!

It will be nice that the 3%er's can actually go and play and not have to work all weekend.
