I was just reading "The Enthusiast" from H-D and they had an article on the Desert Testing Ground. Nothing but track and controlled riding for 10 hours a day. Testing the lead product, evaluating the rides and doing reports.... Article said that the typical rider only makes about three years and then is done. Thinking that means turn over...Thinking that BUELL also tests out there... Thinking I have THREE available years to dedicate to the motor company. Now where do I send my app to? Because I know a job like that never gets listed. Its better to Burn out than Fade Away. I need to add "Professional Rider, Closed Course, Do NOT Attempt" To my resume.

Those jobs do get listed. . . but in looking over the list . . . well I think I'd prefer to be a LUST specialist!

Take a look for yourself . . .

I'm not to keen on the anal-ust part though . .

whilst entertaining the idea of working for HID, I checked the job pages daily -- as with most large companies, the titles are sometimes not altogether illuminating when it comes to what the gig really is -- if you're truly interested in that job, I suggest you read each and every posting (you can likely skip things like Supply Chain Management, though)

also, in many companies, just cuz the job is in Arizona doesn't mean that the posting will pear in that part of the board

good luck!

Might just buy an Airstream trailer and camp outside the gate till they get sick of seeing me riding on the outside perimeter at high rates of speed on the dirt : D

Do you really think HD wants an Ompalompa outside their gate

This would turn into prime "TV movie of week" material.

City - "Come on coach, let me in the game"

HD - "You too short to ride our dirtbikes, and you keep taking our streetbikes into the dirt"

City - "I'm not leaving"

HD - "SECURITY!!!"

Next a very special after school special, the lil CityX that could, brought to you commercial free by Red Bull and Mt Dew, the amp'd drink of choice for gate crashers

Arent the ommmpalumpas a perfect shade of orange? Matches the bike well.

Fouled plugs and an backfiring WHOOOMP has kept me home and the bike in the garage. Check engine light is on, and the bike fails to catch and turn over. I have a post on another CityX'rs thread, sounds like he is having the same issue. and yes I was supposed to be headed to Anatone BFE for Elk Chili : | Will have to make that a two day hop rather than three.

So why isn't is in your shop? I figured you could get the service people to fit you in?

You do have the parts, right?

Either-way, that sucks man. Since it is getting warmer out, let's plan on a ride soon.
