It is truly great news and would not have been possible without the great support and effort from everyone who has participated in the general fundraising, auctions and Ride With Me Patches.

Blake - without your support we would have never been able to pull this off, much less reach our goal of $10,000. Your timing for custodian access really made my life easier this past three weeks. Probably yours and Jerry's as well! Thanks for giving me this opportunity.

Court - thanks for setting the goal. When you said, $10,000, I thought, sounds good, let's see how close we get. Now we'll be over the $10,000 mark, not below it.

Jb2 - Prior - Milo - Thank you for your guidance, assistance and patience while we got this fundraiser up and running. It has truly been a pleasure working with you all behind the scenes. If the rest of BadWeB only knew how many e-mails flew back and forth in a day while they waited for a PayPal address!

FB - WOW......When we first started, I really thought we'd raise about $3,000-$5,000, then you come up with "we're going to hold a BadWeB auction". OK, that will bring in another $1,000-$2,000. Again, all I can say is WOW!

All of BadWeB - THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

Without you all buying into this endeavor and supporting Matt Ware's family and friends none of this would have produced the results that it did. Big group hug!

Again, thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful effort.

Kristi

geez, people, please take a moment to pat yourself on the back, give everyone around you a high five and a hug, and generally just bust a button or two at what y'all have done - in barely no time at all, y'all have dug down and ponied up almost ten thousand dollars for the Matt Ware Benevolent Trust to help Mitch and Lori Ware cope with Matt's medical bills.

think about that for a moment: TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!

y'all bring a tear to the eyes of the crusty old bastich typing these words, you truly do.

your generosity - not only with your money, but also with your words of support and prayers of strength and courage during Matt's three-and-a-half year battle with brain cancer - have surely helped nourish and sustain and provide some measure of comfort and peace for Matt's folks, as they deal with their nearly unimaginable loss.

your actions have also had the same effect on Matt's best friend, Alex Prior, and for that he, and i, are grateful.

to everyone who has played a part in one of the coolest things i've ever witnessed, thank you. people are people, and most of the time we're all wrapped up pretty tight in the cocoons of our lives, busy and content and generally inward-looking.

but when someone needs help - a smile, a hug, a prayer, a helping hand - y'all come thru, every time, and you should be very proud of yourselves.

THANK YOU!!!

we're talking behind the scenes on an exit strategy for the fundraisers. it looks like it's "time."

we done a remarkable thing here, but it can't last forever.

what WILL last forever are the deeds that have been done for Matt and his memory. years from now, on Matt's birthday, perhaps, or the anniversary of the day he spoke his first word or took his first step, or perhaps on the day he leapt into the arms of the Lord, your actions will continue to provide a measure of peace and comfort to Mitch and Lori, and perhaps thru their tears they will also rejoice that their son touched so many hearts during his short time on this earth.

i'm pretty good with words, but i don't have the capacity to adequately convey how cool you all are.

fortunately, i don't HAVE to, as you already know it just as well as i do.

we're gonna ramp everything down pretty quick, perhaps as soon as Friday. if you still want to donate to Matt's trust fund, you still have time. there are also some patches still available, and maybe the stray auction or two winding down.

if we're not right at $10K, we're sure knocking on the door, and that's a lot more money than i ever thought all of this would generate.

y'all have done very, very good. : )

>>>Court - thanks for setting the goal.

Thank you. One of my abiding management principles is "if you can't measure it, you can't manage it".

We'll talk exit strategies when we've met our goal.

We can do this.

It's important.

Glad I could play a small part in helping out a family that was placed into a situation none of us would want to be in.

A big pat on the back to those that bought and "sold" their items, some of which are irreplaceable.
