I've never seen a bike do a 360 like that and not flip a million times.

Man, it seemed for a split second like he was going to get back on and ride it out... in the middle of a spin out!

I did a 360o and kept riding it . . . actually I had no idea what I was doing, it happened in an instant when the rubber gasket on the base of a Sportster oil filter gave way coming out of a turn at Heartland Park Topeka.

Unfortunately the two folks behind me hit the oil and went down . . neither was injured.

I still have the fancy trophy Reg Pridmore gave me . . . he still runs when he sees me.

: )

I did a 360 without dropping it under very similar circumstances (primary gasket instead of oil filter though).

I looked around with my best "I meant to do that" look and rode *gently* the remaining block to get home.

Mine happened so frickin' fast I had no clue what happened. Of course, I was an idiot neophyte who didn't know to pull the bike, spewing oil, straight off the track and rode it 1/8 mile!

I'm thinking the "I meant to do that" was the look MADE for that occasion!

When I was learning to ride in the summer of 1976, I did almost the same thing on my 1975 175 Kawasaki dual purpose bike. It was on an old abandoned softball field. I hadn't thought about that in years.
