Hmmm, Buell lists a $35 charge for the " Ultimate Weekend" package. I'm not sure what the charge is for. It might be for the hospitality tent. If you PM me I could register you, if you'd like. You pay, cash only, when you arrive at the factory on July, 6th |

I believe the $35 is to get into the races. I really can't see them denying you access to the courtesy area if you ride up on a Buell. What are they going to do? Have bouncers there with a list. "If you ain't on it, you ain't gettin' in!!" |

The web design of the Buell.com site should not prevent folks from visiting. There should be a way to visit the site even if the visitor does not have the latest Flash player. I am in the same boat and it is annoying. |

I think Reg and I both pontificated about this in the past . . it is, I think a H.O.G. carryover, this consuming fear that folks seeing free hotdogs will overrun the Buell area. It was embarassing the year the "haves" and "have nots" (membership cards) were separated by a simple white picket fence. One one side was just bottled water . . . the other side as soda and small bags of chips. Frankly, if it were me I'd want the folks who don't already own Buells immersed in the best hospitality I could provide. Court P.S. - I've been trying to get access to that Buell owners area of the website for a long time . . now you have me curious, I'll have to try again. |

Hey Woody, The $35 is for a three day pass to Road America which usually sells for $45 for two days. As far as your problem with Buell.com is concerned, have you called them to ask if there is another way to register? You might try calling the main switchboard at 262-642-2020 and asking for help. While you're in town be sure to stop by Hal's for some of our events. Please see my earlier posting in the Hal's Homecoming thread in the sponsor area. Good luck, BudC |

I think a H.O.G. carryover, this consuming fear that folks seeing free hotdogs will overrun the Buell area. OMG too funny !! I'm for being friendly too court, howdy ya'll, how about a water and bag of chips for anyone simply interested in Buell and hanging out with Buell riders, that's how you convert em. If we're not fun folks, and we're more worried about guarding water & chips, who in the world would wanna ride with us, much less on a Buell ?? I've give a stranger in my home water and some chips !! |

OMG! Court you can't give away soda pop and chips! They will think they are members of the club! Next you will want to give away the secret handshake! Last year if you had a Buell key you were in the hospitality area. Pretty relaxed about the whole thing. The cash gets into the race track Saturday and Sunday, there is a lunch at the factory and a seminar on Friday if you are registered. You can also get a lap around the race track on Saturday. Excellant value for the money as the race track tickets are $20 per day. |

More accessible is more betterer . . . when you are in the very business of selling motorcycles and have a large number of your dyed in the wool advocates in one tent mulling around the shiniest offering you bring to the market and it's occurring at a major motorcycle event. . . I want everyone in that tent I can pack in . . . If I had my choice between having someone who was interested to either a Buell dealer or tossing him in the middle of that tent . . well, put me down for tent all the way. During my little stunt in 1995 I had the pleasure of meeting and later seeing buy Buells 62 individuals who had never heard of Buell before I started my ridiculous behavior. I'd spend days at places from the Blue Ridge Parkway to Alice's Restaurant tossing interested folks the keys to the Buell and saying "take it for a spin". Attraction will always trump exclusion. Laura Dennison is the person to call. All the planing is being handled by HD, not Buell. |

Gearloose, Not a problem. Laura is a big help. I have worked with her a lot over the last couple of months while planning the Homecoming events at Hal's. She and the rest of the Marketing Staff have done a great job and I am very excited about Homecoming. I know that there will be good things coming for next year's Anniversary as well. Anyway, always glad to help. BudC |

"Attraction will always trump exclusion." Very accurate statement. So you give out a few extra sandwiches, sodas, hot dogs or bags of chips. Big deal. The goodwill you gain is the best marketing/advertising you can't buy! I'll never forget the big deal that was made of the unused meal tickets a couple years ago. Meal tickets that had already been paid for by BRAG members. I just about had to vent my spleen that day! The picture of Jose, holding the box of food he got with all the meal tickets he got from those leaving Sat night was awesome! Really ruffled some feathers. The worst case I ever heard of was denying Reg access to the Buell tent at Laguna (I think it was Laguna) cause he didn't have a "pass". What a crock! Hell if I'd have been there I'd have paid them for Reg's sandwich and soda just to be able to sit in the shade of the tent and talk with him. |
