Got this on Saturday in the Thunderbike Race when a fellow Bueller was hit in front of me and I couldn't avoid his sliding bike. I went over the handle bars. Wasn't fun. http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/7447/1000296iz8 .jpg Managed to do one race Sunday but wasn't very successful. I couldn't get comfortable on the bike with a knee brace on my left leg. I was taken off the track by the ambulance in Saturdays race. That leads me to ask everyone to give a shout out to Greg Avello (FUSA21) here on the badweb. He had a very bad crash which resulted in a broken nose, 30 plus stitches below his right eye, internal bleeding and fractures to his L-1 through L=4 vertebra. He's home now and I see already looking for parts to repair his bike. I hope he's back to good health for the races at Homecoming. He's a great rider and I always enjoy watching him blow my doors off. He's also great to have around in "Buell Alley". That's where all us "hooligan" racers pit together. So let me start out by saying heal up Greg. We need riders out there like you. If you need any help, let me know! | ||

Awwww geez, Greg - get better ASAP. Sorry to hear about your being banged up. If we were both off our meds, I'd offer you a beer. Get well and back in the saddle!!! SO right now we have Greg, Rocco, and (my brother) Diablomichael all on the injured list...WOW I guess that could be taken as proof positive that ASRA is HARD racing. | ||

Hey the West Coast is doing our part too... 2 fingers, 1 metatarsal in my left hand (no surgery required), 1 rib, road rash on the right arm. Knocked out for 5 minutes I'm OK but the racebike is demolished. It's a couple months before the budget and bike are back together. Who'da thought racing was expensive!!?? | ||

Hey guys, Greg stopped by the shop today to talk to Terry G. about getting his bike repaired. He's definitely a little rough around the edges but he's mobile and said he might actually come out for the Buell Demo Days at Hal's this weekend. Thought you'd like to know. BudC | ||

You guys are great...I really appreciate all the get well wishes. I'm getting the stitches out tomorrow. I'm already off of the Percosets... I have started working 1/2 days so I can afford to pay for repairs.  I disassembled the bike w/ my brother tonite. I have the new body work from HAL'S H-D/Buell ready to go to paint. I need that new subframe and a couple of electrical things, but the rest I already have. I hope to see everyone at Homecoming in July. I may make the June ASRA race at VIR... I need to keep my top 5 Points in Thunderbike. Does anyone know someone interested in traveling from Milwaukee to VIR? I need another driver to go with me. | ||
