Simon:

This IS a PLEASURE . . . . it took an auction to bring one of the world's top S-2 fanatics out of hiding!

I **think** I understand your bid to be. . .

$110.00 bid
+$ 37.50 for the autograph
+$ plus you'll pick up the shipping to the UK

Most cool! . . and great to hear from you.

Court

Hi there. Thanks for the welcome back Jerry and Court. The bikes have been taking a back seat for the last couple of years but I pop in here occasionally for a Buell fix. I'm always up for some S2 memorabilia - particularly to benefit such a worthy cause. Paypal has sent the $147.50 and I'll send the postage cost wherever or make a further contribution.

Thanks Alex for sourcing the extra copy and well done Jerry and Kristi for the job you're doing.
All the best
Simon

THAT MAKES ME THE FIRST LOSER!

That is the LAST time I spend the weekend with my family away from the computer!

Seriously, this was the most fun I've had here on BadWeb. It was a pleasure to bid against Road_thing, Not_purple_S2, and Court. I wish I could have gone higher.

Great stuff!

thank you everyone for playing, and for raising almost $300 from this one auction alone to add to the Matt Ware Benevolent Trust. as Tom K said just above, "Great Stuff!"

Road Thing, i've received confirmation of your PayPal payment from Kristi and your copy of the mag will be headed to Texas today.

Alex and Court, you know what to do with Simon's copy, right?

thx again everyone! (and especially Kristi, for keeping track of everything! : ) )

Thang, per Court's instructions your copy of CW is on its way to East Troy for Erik's motograph, leaving Fancy Gap, Virginia this afternoon USPS Priority, insured, with delivery confirmation.

once EB has laid his EB on it, the mag is in Court's capable hands as far as getting it to Texas.

thx again! : )

Thang, Fancy Gap ain't really all that fancy (and truth be told it ain't much of a gap, either), but it's home nonetheless, siturated at milepost 200 on the incomparable Blue Ridge Parkway, land of some of the finest riding i've ever done, and i've done a bunch!

btw, your copy of Cycle World arrived safely in East Troy this morning. : )

Thanks, Jerry!

"Fancy Gap?"

To quote Mr. Ray Wylie Hubbard, "That just sounds nasty!"

hey Thang, wanna know something cool? the gal third from the left in this photo (which was taken wayyyy back in 1993)...

...is in possession of your Cycle World right now and seeing to it that Erik gets it signed for you.

Kim is her name, she's been with Erik & Co. for 21 years, and i think it's cool that there's this "extra" Buell connection to your mag.

thx again for helping out the Ware Family, and thank you Kim - and Erik! - for helping, as well.

as Court might say: "Gads, I love this stuff!!"

: )
