 i put one of these bad buys on the auction block last time, a pristine volume 1, issue 1 of FUELL magazine, and our own Bjack (Bruce Jackson; if the name sounds recently familiar, check out Kristi's rundown of trust fund contributors so far...) wanted it so much he ponied up a hundred of his hard-earned bucks so's he could call it his own. and thanks to some help from Court, we managed to get Erik to autograph it for Bruce, too. cool! well, that was the only 1/1 issue of FUELL i had. however, during the FBRAT ride none other than Alex Prior presented me with HIS only copy of this issue, as a way of paying it forward, i s'pose. really cool! well, i'm gonna pay it all a little MORE forward, and offer up Alex's ex-issue of the mag (and hopefully soon to be MY ex-issue of the mag) to help out the Ware family. as you can see, this thing is pretty sweet. it's got a few slight blemishes on the cover (look at the tip of the fender, as an example), but hey, what do you want for a magazine that rode with me across the country in the tail trunk of a Buell Ulysses???        this is where the mag came from originally, and is stamped right on the back cover. how 'bout you - wouldya like to have this collectible in your collection? dig deep, peeps, i don't want to 'give' this thing away. in fact, if i can get a least a hundred bucks for it, i'm pretty sure i can get Mr. Original Road Warrior to sign it for you, too. This is a seven-day auction ending next Sunday May 13, 2007 at 10 p.m Eastern time, but will continue beyond that time if there is bid activity within one hour of auction end. Jerry, Too cool to see this Fuell magazine being thrown back into the mix. I picked that up at Wilwerts a long long time ago, back when I was still oogling over the Cyclone that is now sitting in the garage. About 15 moves later and a trip across half the US, and that magazine is still looking pretty good! I'll start at $20, but would love to see this in someone else's collection... It's already graced my pad, let's get the auction rolling! | ||
