The helmet i have seems like it is just allowing to much noise to enter the helmet. I was looking to get a new brain bucket to fix the problem. I was looking into the scorpion helmets. Any buellers two cents would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a Schuberth S-1 that's incredibly quiet. It's also hideously expensive, but it provided the best fit of any brand I tried.

Do you currently wear earplugs?

If you're looking for noise reduction, steer clear of anything with lots of external ducts and vents. I have an Arai RX-7 which is a great fit and well made, but it's very noisy.

My AGV Ti-Tech is much quieter. The visor pivots are adjustable and with a bit of care it's possible to get a perfect seal when the visor is down. The neck collar also reduces the wind noise.

I have the Arai Profile. All the reviews said that it was one of the quietest helmets around. It's loud. I can't imagine what a "loud" helmet would sound like.

I wear ear plugs. The heavy duty industrial kind.

It's hard to get an honest opinion about a quite helmet -- rider position effect helmet noise.

I were a cheap HJC cl-33 3/4 Helmet with a face shield. It was noisey. But I removed the side air vents and taped the hole up. Huge improvement.

And ear plugs. Force exhaust!

Hey Steve what everybody else said! the more vents the wind the more noise! Less vents less noise! I have ridden snowmobiles for as long as I can remember and the helmet that was the most quiet was an HJC Airtech II that had only one vent. I currently wear an HJC CL-11(yes very old)very comfortable. Wear ear plugs on the M2.

Don't buy a Simpson Outlaw.
This helmet isn't suitable for the highway, noise-wise, the shield doesn't seal at all.

Much like a microphone cover, putting this over your helmet will reduce wind noise, add a bit of drag, but oh so much style.

to reduce noise in the helmet you currently have, and future helmets too, consider one of these...

15 bucks is a lot cheaper than any helmet I've bought. They'll have them back in stock soon,
or maybe one of our sponsors can order them?

Earplugs are a lot cheaper, and won't turn your helmet into a sauna in the summer.

My Shoei RF900 is much quieter than the Arai Corsair I have. I guess maybe it is the extra venting. It is even noticeably louder on my FLHT. I wear earplugs too.

I have an Arai Quantum, an HJC AC-11 and a Scorpion EXO-400. The Scorpion is by far the quietest helmet I own, while still flowing air pretty well; it also has a pretty effective anti-fog coating

My Arai Astral is a pretty quiet helmet too.

It's tough to balance between a helmet that is quiet and flows enough air to keep you
from roasting on hot days. The wind skirt won't make your helmet any more of a sauna
than it was before, unless your only vent is the gap in the bottom. It performs the
same function as the chin skirt on the scorpions and some Arai helmets.

I have 2 lids, now.
HJC Symax modular, whistles.
Suomy Spec 1-R, loud! ( but cool, great graphics, ( Bostrom replica ) stable at speed )

I'm using Sony Noise canceling ear buds. Still have high freq. noise, but it's better, and tunes, ( Bach, Rock, and Tori Amos "Cornflake Girl"-unplugged version ) make the ride nice.

I'm on my second Scorpion EXO 400 and I've found it much quieter than the other low-end (HJC, Harley-D, etc) helmets I've worn. For about $10 extra there's a little air dam that slips into the chin area that really helps to. For me its a good option for someone who can't afford a $500 and up helmet

Whatever you do, DON'T buy a half helmet, no matter what they say, the wind noise is TERRIBLE.
