I sold this guy the dash last month. He filed a dispute then a claim against me through Paypal on Monday night stating that he never received it without ever contacting me. Was still busting my chops over it last night. It's on e-bay now! He was provided all the tracking info and confirmation numbers that he needed. I think he had it the whole time. I've tried to contact him to see why it's on e-bay now with no response. Buyer be warned!

That's the one! Just last night he was going back and fourth with me on the Paypal site saying that something was shipped with the tracking info but I couldn't prove what or where to, so he wanted to see the receipt. I said no problem, where do you want it sent since the USPS receipts print off that APO and asked him if he was still out of the country. Then he let it rest for the night. To my surprise today I saw the item that "never arrived" listed on e-bay! I was very upset to think that someone in our military would try to pull a scam like that, especially over something so minor. He did leave me positive feedback today though, I'm not sure what to do with it. I think that people should be warned but should I leave positive, negative or neutral?

wait till the 89th day after the auction ended and then write a feedback with the story. after the 90th day he cannot do anything about your negative feedback.

I am not sure how one would go about it but I would try and find his CO and make them aware of the situation.

Damnut-He already left me positive feedback today, I'm thinking that he's freaked out that I still had the receipt and is trying to keep his e-bay % high. He tried to bluff me and I called him on it!

Reindog-If I knew what branch he was in and how to contact his CO, trust me I would.

What was the address? When I was in the Army, my APO address began with my unit. Replace his name on the shipping address with "Commander" and you should have it.

Alpha,
Before you burn him- I'd contact him and find out what was up? Give him a chance to explain- ask for the reason he was yanking you around. If it sounds legit- consider letting him slide. If he dosen't respond in a timely manner by all means contact his CO -or better yet his 1st Sgt. They will set things straight.

bought something on ebay . 6 weeks later , still hadn't gotten it . contacted the seller and he swore he sent it like 5 weeks previousely . threatened to report and voila the next day it was in my mailbox .... postmarked weeks earlier . then another week later recieved another to replace the one i'd complained i hadn't recieved .

anyone want a really crappy buell watch ? i've got 2 lol .

people online were talking bout something in the new cycleworld week before last and hey wheres mine ? filled out the missing issue form and went to the store and bought one . $3.99 !!!! thats more than my yearly subscription ! get home and its in my f'ing mailbox .... grrrrrr.

consider it might just be an honest mistake .

conclusive proof would be if he put it on fleabay while still denying . not the case here .

let it go . he might just be embaressed and no foul , he gave you a positive .

He still hasn't responded and didn't even use his own pix in the listing. I guess he was too lazy and just copied and pasted my ad and my mix. It was sent to his APO, if he did get it just hours before listing it on e-bay, where is he going to send it from? He was out of the country when he bought it but won't tell me now if he's in country or not. If he is, then he's had it from when he was out of country. Or he's going to pull a csam and insure the heck out of it so that when the winning bidder never receives it, he can cash in. I don't trust this guy at all. He had all day to bust my stones on the Paypal dispute post but won't answer any of my questions as to when he actually received it and where he's at now. It would have been nice if he would have e-mailed me to ask where his stuff was first if in fact he hadn't received it vs going directly to Paypal. And when I gave him all tracking info, he got more ignorant. Is someone else going to get stuck waiting for 6-7 weeks? Not get it at all? Or did he have it the whole time and the winning bidder get it in a reasonable fashion because he's back stateside in Arkansas with his dash? It just ticks me off that us Buell guys and the military have people like this with no integrity affiliated with us.

Alpha, you can contact him directly by requesting his information from Ebay. They will send you his real name, address, and phone number.

I would also begin the process with the Fraud folks.

I have an e-mail addy for him that he responded to a few days ago. I'm not sure why he won't respond to me now though. It went from him doubting that I ever sent it on the paypal dispute board to an ended dispute, positive feedback and the dash listed on e-bay.

Can't you send him a message through eBay on his new auction? That email address must be right, plus it will be sent via ebay so there will be a record of it through ebay, and it will sit there in his messages until he reads (or deletes) it. no claiming he didn't get the message.

just a thought.

You do realize you can "report item" at the bottom of the page of his auction?

Cochise, I did report him for a couple of things. Now he wants to return e-mails and seems a little concerned. He still wont answer me when I ask him if he's in country or not. USPS still doesn't even show that it was delivered. I don't know when he actually got it or if even has it. He has come across like that kind of a scum bag
