My M2's fork lock is broken. I'm finally to where I can get out on it in public, and may want to park it somewhere besides my barn(in easy shotgun range), and expect it to stay there. I've seen some vague references to locks, but no real idea. Until I get around to figuring out how to fix it, what's a simple, totable, economical, easily procured way to secure this thing. Can I just run out and grab one, or is it a thing to hunt and order? I was raised to be a sharing individual, but it's on the short non-shareable list.

i carried a masterlock around for years and just locked up the brake rotor. don't try to pull off with the lock still in there, though. ya go about 3 feet and then you stop.

abruptly.

and crush yer nads on the tank.

and sometimes you fall over and get laughed at. : )

X, that sounds simple enough, I try to make everything complicated
Maybe I can run a circuit through the lock from the sidestand switch. Forgetful. Fall a lot.
HEHEHE I loved those falling threads!!!
I'm not the only one.
Thanks
Rotzaruck!!!!

I picked up a Xena disc lock. Usually had for under $60, it has an audible (130dB?) chirping if the bike gets moved while it's still on. Keeps thieves from trying to fiddle with it and it reminds you if you forgot to take it off.

just a lock with a tether on it rotz just so you can see it and don't take off with it on. the only thing that i got ripped off of was the lock and keys, when i was parting out the m2Low,totally pissed me off. it was some jack a$$ off the bad web to. and if you want it to look safe ad a cable to it if it's not to hard to carry around.

Kryptonite disk/chain lock. Bright yellow padlock works great on front rotor. I only bring the chain when I'm planning to park in bad 'hoods, the New York Chain is a proper weapon for Conan. Do not forget to remove disk lock. Laughter will follow.

I'll let you know when I pull the
"Xbullet maneuver".
I tend to provide a lot of entertainment if anybody's looking. I keep looking over my shoulder everywhere I go, to see if there's some fool with a video camera I'll have to kill.

as soon as I get up......
