As not to steal RT's thunder : )

Went to help re-built a friend's (Psyclone) top end and install some cams in Ohio, 110 miles from my house.

We get the majors all buttoned up and all that is left is a few things to hang; carb, pipe, etc.

We BS for a hour or so, he finds a few parts to donate to the get MJ on the road fund and off I go.

I let the car warm up for a few and brush the snow off, yes you read that correctly, and proceed over the Muamee river bridge. Make a right onto route 24 and then squeak, squeak, squeak, SNAP two seconds later battery light comes on.

I turn around and book it back to 'Clones house.

He is still cleaning up on the garage so we head to Bowling Green to the local 24 hour stores, Wally Worlds and Meijers. Being that we are in the boonies we were hoping they would have a alternator belt or repair kit.

No such luck.

'Clone was nice enough to lend me his car so I can get home and enjoy Easter Sunday with my families.

I head out Sunday morning to find a auto store and with some luck find one that is open!

Get the belt, go on with my day, enjoy a good ol' Polish Easter at my aunts with a full blown egg hunt and head off to Ohio to re-belt my car and head home.

Get ready to install said belt and it is the wrong size!

Panic mode, it's 8pm Easter Sunday and I am in BFE Ohio. I don't know where anything is!

Pop inside 'clone's house, he is still in Columbus with his fam and find the local Autozone. There are a few Autozones in Metro Detroit that are open 24hrs or at least 'till Midnight.

Autozone in Bowling Green was first on the list, I call and score! There open till 9.

So I have less than a hour to travel back, unlit, unfamiliar country roads.

Needless to say, I made it, and the rest of the install went smooth!

Thanks again Psyclone!

Sorry to steal your thunder RT

At least there was no crashing this time.}

Thanks for all of your help and good fellowship this weekend.

Now we just have to get both of our bikes on the road and keep them that way.
