Will Buell be offering the bag give away/dealer demo rides this year ? Seems that it was this time of year that it started in the past

On the tag from the beanie it said April 15th but some are already floating around. It is a messenger bag this year there is already one on ebay.

I have the new bag!
It's totally different from previous bags. It's not a back pack, more like a carry-on luggage bag. It has a long shoulder strap, so it hangs down to my waist. I'm really not sure how to wear it on the bike. I rode home with it hanging off my side. It still has the waist strap, so it won't fall off. It's definitely different this year.

Vanvideo, i think its a messenger-style bag. wear it high on your back and it will stay put better.

I got 6 boxes of them, The Twisted Edge Buell riding club is in Silverdale. Take the long commute, come get one of our bags. And if you are in the mood for a New Bueller, all the better. : D

It's a nice bag. Mine was kind of expensive - seeing as I went back the next day and picked up an XB9SX to go with it...

At least I'm ready to commute on it!

I admit it, I'm a freebee suckup! But....I need help on this one and it wont be free. The nearest dealer is 150 miles away. Bad weather has conspired against an attempted ride. I fear I wont be able to get that neat new bag. (looks like a winner for the laptop) I'm placing a bounty on one now. 25 shipped to Ohio for the guy that helps a brother out.

Lost, nearest I could find is North Canton. Called and asked about them. Sales guy said we'll get them soon. Okay, when is that?

I demoed an XB12R and a TT this weekend at Biggs HD/Buell, and got one of the bags. They had a big shindig and had nice long demo rides. The manager of the parts department is a Bueller from way back and he was leading the rides. The last one of the day had three Buells and a big twin and we did a very spirited demo ride. Not just down the street and back, it was a 15 mile ride that had some hills and twisties.

The number plates may be funky looking, but the TT is a HOOT to ride. It just BEGS you to do bad things, and it handles nice. The Firebolt XB12R was OK, but I was helping sweep the ride for Woody behind an old guy on a Sportster that hadn't ridden in 30 years, so I played nice and followed him most of the way (a bit scary, actually). But the TT was about the closest thing to riding my S1W that I've experienced on an XB series bike. I wouldn't want to ride the seat for 400 miles, but the thing just BEGS you to hang off around corners. And the front end just won't stay on the ground.

The Bag is OK, but I really can't figure out how to wear it right. The sling bag made a bit more sense. The new bag has more pockets than you can count on two hands.

Al

Sling goes over your shoulder, strap goes cross body, and the straps on the bottom are for your waist, to keep in snug against your back through the twisties. Come for the demo, get the bike, drive home on a new bike... yes that is the real point of it. 12 New Xbs on the floor, 4 used, 1 tuber and 6 boxes of the bag. Come for our demo, and if you buy it, some of this too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gG76ftSFOcg

Hey Steve,
We went through almost a case and a half today. Thanks for being the first.

Hey Brian,
Got some news for you. I just bought a 2004 XB12S, ya know the leftover we had when you were here. I am swapping some parts with Steve and I will be doing something similar to your bike. I hope to have it ready for the June 7th Track Day at Road America. I can't wait. Guess I'm now legit, LOL. How's things in your neck of the woods? Think you'll make it to Homecoming? Let me know.

it looks like the guy was afraid to ride the uly in that video. and as far as the tt goes i felt like i wouldn't have any problem with a 4 or a 500 mile ride on it. the thing felt great.

Al, your small review of the TT is EXACTLY why I bought mine. And the seat isn't that bad. I've only done 150 miles at a time so far, but it's not THAT bad.

Buell just failed in the marketing of the bike.

Cityxslicker, I was hoping to be much farther on my 'lil build process. But unfortunately work, family, and parts availability is a problem. Still waiting on my damn lights!

The bad is cool IMHO. I like it. Not bad for a free-be. I just wish we wouldn't end up seeing these things up for sale in the future

Test rode the TT today, WOW that was sick. I would have to ditch the seat though. I am surprised at the quality of the bag. You cannot beat a better deal for free.

That is for sure. I think they need to do a couple cool commercials. Like have one where it starts w/ some dork on a moped delivering pizzas w/ a bored look on his face and the clock read "Your LATE". Then bust over to some guy on a buell sliding up to a house front and it reading 5 mins on the clock but the pizzas all tore up : D
Also they could do a cool take on the delivery\messengers flicking through new york. Put the commercials on speed, discovery, TLC, Spike, and SciFi.

I think KTM had a very similar commericial and it got pulled in the US. It is still up on their web site though. Its for their new SuperDuke. I volunteer to show some "shortcuts" to get the delivery there on time : D

I think that Buell may have failed on the "solo" idea. I think the bike would be doing better if they had offered it as a "two-up" with the "solo" as an option. $325 for the change over is crazy. Oh, and the color choice-what the *&#$^&$$@^$@ were they thinking? Just my opinion. The bike is, with out a doubt, the best all around that they offer.

We have the bags here at Liberty. Not sure of the quantity though. Although, with the monsoon, the first two days have not been stellar as far as demo ride opportunities. : )
Head on down! I hear the seas will part very soon. Hopefully it won't be any more rain - Rahway becomes an island when it rains!

What do I have to do to make my dealer WANT to take part in these giveaways?
Last freebie I got from him was a nifty blue carabiner clip.
