Interesting. We've had a bunch of repo'd bikes come back to us recently.

So, is there a possibility of getting a great price on a repoed Buell or are the prices as high as the market will bear?

Decent deals on used Buells aren't too tough to find...deals on a good used Harley is a totally different matter.

The price on used Harleys HAS TO BE GETTING BETTER. Every dealership I go too (and that's a lot) is LOADED with used bikes. Every person I talk to that attempts to trade in an HD (including me) is being told that 'they' don't want trade-ins or are being given 'low-ball' trade in prices. The reason seems to be that everyone wants to trade 2, 3, or 4 year old bikes for the new 96 inch/6 speeds.

Seem like a good time to buy stock however!

Just my $.02

I'm still kicking myself over not jumping on the repo'd 1989 Buell RR-1200 that the farmer's bank in Bern, KS repo and was trying to ditch for $4,000.

The Big Twins extraordinarily seem to hold their value. I check the local craigslist often, and it's extremely rare to find ANY big twin, no matter how old, if it's assembled and drive-awayable, it will almost invariably be offered for at least $7,000 and up. No matter whether it's 20 or 40 years old. Anything later close to 2000 will still be around $12,000+.
I can't name any car, or any other thing, period, (other than gold) whose price says this constant.
