These have been flying for almost a century.
I don't see anything different or particularly special about this one.
I suppose they'll give you a patent for anything.
I think I'll patent the wheel.

Just 'cause it has a motorcycle front end does not mean it is a motorcycle...

Remember, the reporters are CLUELESS as to just WHAT was patented. They were NOT specific. Without searching it out, you can't say just WHAT has been patented.

Possible the stupidest invention considering he is trying to market it for transportation. Good luck getting one registered for public use.

Didn't James Bond have one of them when he was Sean Connery?

All he did was use a few motorcycle parts and call it something with 'motorcycle' in the name....and voiala!...patent.

Your right, it's just an auto-gyro with used parts for the landing gear. good luck selling it for $25k

It's a relatively new design, last decade or so, since the pilot is higher to improve c.g/thrustline issues. Clunky, overly heavy, drag inducing frame means less speed for the power than current good designs. No propeller driven vehicle is any good on the street, & licence/insurance issues abound. ( look, over there! hey? where's my hand? )

Little Nellie in "You Only Live Twice" a Wallis design, which, if I remember, is about twice as fast as this nice fellows thingee.

I think Michelin has the wheel patent, Gore has fire, try ball bearings, or maybe air.

I believe it has a driveline to propel it on the ground as well.

The gear looks pretty good, it soaks up that landing. I dont think regular gyro copters have any landing gear.

Local news reports say some of the dumbest things sometimes...
There was a report here in Mobile about the increase of sportbike riders. They even came to Krystals on friday night and interviewed some people, my friend included, and filmed us on our bikes.
But during the aired report the reporter says "the average sportbike is capable of speeds in excess of 180mph!"
And she wasn't talking about a bunch of busa's. The fastest bikes there were maybe a couple of GSXR 1000's.
