My brother has several old Hondas he is redoing and is looking for a source for the old "snuffers" that were used when you cut off the muffler and wanted to quiet down the straight pipes.

Check here, not cheap but very retro cool!
They were called Snuff or Not's.
I have NO idea why I remember that little worthless bit of trivia...

I remember them, too. They seemed to work pretty well on Honda 305 Scramblers, but my Bonneville with TT pipes used to blow them apart after about a week.

snuff r nots were required on 305 high-pipe 305s -- I thought they came that way from the factory!

wonder if they make em big enough for the MaDeuce?

There is a shop on 17th st. here in SF that specializes in those bikes - old Hondas, Suzi's, etc. if you need any obscure parts.
