if you're interested in a nordic hot tub, save yourself some grief, don't buy it, these people are snakes! my wife and i opened a pool store last year here in e.taunton mass. perhaps you remember when i was looking for the hot tubs we were to sell. anyways we went to some trade shows and decided to carry nordic hot tubs and l.a. spas. l.a. are the cadillacs, real fancy and top quality. nordic hot tubs are the value line, decent quality and cheap retail (3300-5500). so, we've carried both lines for a year now. we sold approx. 10 nordics last year of which 2 had warranty issues, no biggie we fixed them and the customers are happy. december rolls around and a company out in the cape goes out of business (nordic dealer) and i start getting calls to service the tubs (which i did'nt sell) no biggie, i take care of the customers and they're happy. now the problem, i'm driving down the street that my store is located on and less than a half mile down the street i see a nordic sign in my competitions window! what the!!! so, bottom line after covering these assmonkeys warranties and selling their tubs for a year (i still have 5 on my sales floor) they start selling to my direct competition any way! we call over there and talk to the big boss, and he says unless we're opening a store in the cape then we have to like it or lump it (not in so many words). so, i'm flushing what i have left out the door for peanuts and i'm all done with them freaks! in conclusion, if your in the market for a hot tub, stay away from nordic hot tubs! they are sneaky little slimey bastards. and if you do buy one beware, the dealer you bought it from might get screwed by them and dump them or could be a shady dealer who deals with shady manufacturers like nordic hot tubs. Tripp, I remember when you opend your store but at the time had no experience with hot tubs other than using them. Now however we are the proud ownes of a Marquis spa. They are very nice units, not top of the line but maybe upper middle. Did you check into them when you were looking? You should check the fine print of you contract with the "snakes", maybe you have some leverage there. Might be a distance clause of some sort. Brad | ||

i would've never expected that from them, we have a dealer agreement from l.a., but did'nt have one with nordic (the dealer agreements protect the manufacturer for the most part, but would've helped me in this case). marquis are fine spas, i bet it rocks. marquis had a dealer network set up in my area already when we were looking. i actually tried to delete this post last nite but i was too late. i try to practice the old "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything", it's tough to do that when you have a quick temper. i did edit some name calling.  | ||
