S1 is not as nice as the M2 .. so I will turn the S1 into the rat bike, track bike, beat up on bike ... (wasn't my original plan, but the S1 has turned into the 'Neverending Story' in regards to problems .. problems I didn't count on - so instead of making it look better, I have spent a bit of time fixing things ..)

and since the M2 was already a pristine ride , let's make it better ... All I did so far was swap wheels and rear pulley ( I did spend some time polishing the wheels and pulley first - they needed it), after having to do wheel bearings on the PM (they came on the S1) I decided that since they are heavier and softer than the M2 black wheels, that they wouldn't be a good choice for aggressive riding...

I am going to completely black-out the S1 now .. cracks in the Force exhaust will be welded, mounts will be cut off for the updated mounts and then wrapped in black .. all of the polished bits will go on the M2 ...

So here are a couple shots of the start

before

after

That was the reason I bought the clear taillight for the S1 - I planned on that being the 'looker' of the two .. until I ran into all these issues ... I also bought it for the S1 because I had to get rid of the 'chopper style' chrome directionals ... so I bought the integrated tail/turn signal light ..

You are right though - a clear one might look good ... but I think smoked would look better (my turns are smoked on the M2) ... but I think I will leave it as is ...

tq, back a few years ago when i went over to have my bike signed by erik

he told me that the grey/orange was his favorite scheme he come up with. although the black looks good for black you can't beat the orange. my buddy had an 02m2 black.

They both look damn good. Now, mine is a bike people like to call a rat bike. 6 years and it's got the best of everything I can afford, but $0 in cosmetics. Those chrome voltage regulator covers don't do that regulator any good.

Lookin good Tatt!!!

Beat on black rat.Hmm, somehow I've got a feeling, it'll stay a SHINEY beat on black rat!!

Tell me about that little round air cover. What is it? The economic/priority list indicated I was going to have to keep my big 'ol air box for a while, but things happen around here, messing up my list. Before long I'll have to find something to replace my black duct tape. No, not chrome duct tape.

Rick - it actually isn't a chrome cover, it just is chrome - it's a compufire regulator - apparently it was needed for the S.E. adjustable ignition module (both on the bike when I bought it) -- but that chrome front sprocket cover/guard has to go ...

Rotza - that air cleaner is the Crossroads Performance 'MaliAire' Air cleaner ... An expensive piece but I was able to get it for more than 100 less than what they sell for ...
