Ran across this and thought you'd find this intersting. I'm not sure of the original date? So who was #1? http://a1264.g.akamai.net/7/1264/1354/a3055969211e 9e/www.buell.com/en_us/news_events/pdf/BikeTop50.p df |

If you use the article as a reference in any discussion (argument), make sure to say "cornering", not "handling". The meanings aren't mutually exclusive, but they don't refer to the same thing. |

Yeah, Cornering. Not quite the same as Handling. In any case, that is a great article for starting flame wars on bike forums. Us Buellers knew all along we were superior, of course. Heh heh! I've also printed out that article and left it on the desks of fellow workers who own various hot-sh*t sportbikes. When they get to the last page and the XB12 is on top, it just makes them crazy... many hours of amusement for Tommy. |

Buells have always had a reputation for making up time in tighter corners. That article only solidifies that as fact! |

I am willing to run my bike (CityX) against the Superduck 990, Triumph Speed Triple and the MultiStrata through the dirty twisties to see who handles the muddy corners the best (I know the Speed Triple isnt really a dual purpose bike, but then technically neither is the CityX) |

"And I'll bet there a number of us CityXers ready and waiting, Pup! Bring on the 950 Adventurers who want to challenge a CityX on a hard-packed dirt fireroad! Or a GS? Woohoo that would be fun!!!" Erik, why does it have to be a hard packed fire road? (Message edited by thepup on March 24, 2007) |

No matter the positive news, there will always be a person(s) who gripes. Because the dirt road would be a disadvantage for the Cityx and therefore level the competition. Go Buell! |

""Yeah, Cornering. Not quite the same as Handling." What's the diff???? " Handling is a BMW with Ohlins shocks on a good set of rubber. Smooth, comfortable, precise.. Cornering is a Buell. The ablity to lean with little effort but with control. I want a full Ohlins equipped Buell.. Sweet |

MMMm bring on that Big BMW. It is purpose built and twice the cost. Taller ground clearance yadda yadda, but for going from pavement to dirt and back again, and running 100+ down the asphalt, 50 on hard pack, and 35-or so on the mud....lets ride. |
