Matt (on the left, aka Mohawk Matt-see helmet) with his 03 XB9S, and me with my 97 S1 ... towards the end of a 100 mile day ... temps ranged a bit high from 30's(end of the day) up to I believe 50 earlier on ...

Who cares about salt, melted snow and all kinds of other road crud ... it was warm enough to ride .. we rode

Was also an opportunity to test out the new bars on the S1 .. all I can say is .. they're low ! and at 6'2" there is quite a bit of weight on 'em at any speed under 30 .. but on the other hand they made breaking in new rubber pretty easy ... nearly scrubbed 'em in all the way to the edge, tossing around that bike was pretty easy with that set-up.. we'll see how long they last, wrists were fairly sore at the end of the day ...

Steve - you'll have to apologize to Toni for me for waking her up (well .. my bike woke her up, I didn't .. )

Sean and I headed out for a 350 mile round trip ride that included Galveston Island this past Saturday. We made it to Galveston about 70 miles from Sean's place. Here's where he ended his ride for the day...

Evidently the last time his plugs were replaced, the rear one was cross threaded and it blew out going down the highway just as we crossed the bridge onto Galveston. Of course neither one of us had so much as a screw driver with us, so we were pretty much stranded. Oh well, got a suntan waiting on the side of the road for the tow truck. Better luck next time Sean. We'll hook up and do it again. Maybe this time we'll make it all the way to the seawall. LOL! You missed some good riding bro.
