I have been screwing around with Google's custom search engines and created one just for BadWeb, after a little tweaking it now works pretty well. You'll notice after you search that you can refine the search and limit it just one of the subboards. If you want to help to refine it, you can click on the "Volunteer to Help" link. Seems to work well. However nothing that has been posted since Google has crawled BadWeb is search-able. Try doing a search for "Google's custom search engines", quote from your own post and you'll see what I mean. Seems some parts of BadWeb haven't been crawled for some time. Posts seem to be immediately search-able by the built in BadWeb search engine. Mark | ||

Spidey, try it, it's a little different and allows you to easily refine your searches by the board it was posted in. Mramsey, you are absolutely correct, the crawling interval is painfully long. There isn't much I can do about that without access to BadWeb itself, but as this was a fun side project for me, I just focused on what I have available. I find it useful for finding older stuff, especially in the knowledge vault. I need to refine the engine further to allow restrictions to the subboards in knowledge vault but have not done so yet. | ||

Heh. Now I understand, I thought you were talking about the Google BadWeb link at the top of the page. Like I said, this was a fun side project for me and thought others might find it interesting or useful. If you don't, c'est la vie. | ||
