just curious what everybody's desktop looks like on their computer...

i always thought those wallpapers were cool, that portrayed the view behind the monitor...as though you could see through it.

An interesting & true wallpaper story:

last year, shortly after realizing that my now ex-boss had royally screwed all his workers by not paying their federal & state withholdings (after deducting them from our pay), I decided to inform him what I thought of him.

So, while he was out to lunch, I snuck into his office. I went to his PC, logged onto the internet, and surfed to a proctology website.

I found a real nice close up photo of an anus which had visually bleeding hemorhoids on it. I right-clicked the photo and chose to "set as wallpaper".

Not long after his return to the workplace, he discovered his lovely new desktop, and
bellowed "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!"

After myself and the other 2 workers went into his office to see what he was so excited about, I responded:
"It looks to me like two a$$holes staring at each other."

Surprisingly, I did not get terminated that day. I did however curse him out and quit 2 months after that incident.

It was one of my prouder moments.

A bit of a coincidence to find this thread, after just putting wallpaper, for the first time, on my office screen today. It was something I was wondering about anyway. I did an ebay search for 73 Z1 Kawasaki, and turned up a model of one in its sealed box. Now, thinking the term "naked bike" was a relatively recent term, assuming, they started out naked, just like the rest of us, then they got all the stuff on them, then started getting naked again, I was surprised to see, on the front of that model box, that surely came out soon after '73 the words "naked bike"--guess it's just that assuming thing again. Since it reminded me of the one sitting in my barn, it's wallpaper now.

Mine is the stock XB12Scg in Valencia Orange with a black background from the Buell site. It's on all my PC's/laptops and MySpace.
I find myself staring at it often wishing I was riding my bike. I still remember how I would stare at that wallpaper wishing I owned one. That's the pic that did it for me.

Natexlh1000: I love Starblazers! I thought the Argo and Tiger strike fighters where the coolest! Good story.

Don't know how many times I wished I had a wave motion gun installed on my car to blow away slow pokes and dumb asses.
