Reep, if you mean the forks, it would give you longer travel. If you mean the fender, it would give you a mean super-moto look. If you mean both, it would give you longer travel with a mean super-moto look. : )

Bingo!

(though with *my* budget, the fender is a LOT more likely to happen then the forks....)

I was just wondering if both the front and the back on a TT are "higher". If you only swapped the front, would the bike be sitting with the rear 1" low or something? I think the TT uses the "long" frame... not sure if the swingarm and frame are different, or just the frame...

Not that I am likely to do it, just thinking, and wondering if you could easily build a 9 with suspension travel of the TT.

(or more in keeping with my cheapskate nature, find somebody with a TT that thinks it's too tall and swap : ) )

could be done, I dont count on cheap though. It would be a new swing arm, at least, a new belt and probably more than a hand full of fasteners, and I hear the oil lines dont match up directly in placement either. To get more ground clearance it might be better off with going with a diff exhaust. I am considering the XR750 pipes that would get me an additional 2.5 inches of clearance. Nothing I have looked at was less than a grand a pop for either option.

Thats why I was thinking just front end, and leaving the swingarm be.

I wonder if the back end of a TT sits the *back* bike any higher then a lightning long, and wonder if that sits any higher then a 9s.

Dropped by the dealer to get a hat, & check out the new toys. I got the new brochure, w/the TT, the salesman was bitching that Buell was pitching the TT to the "ghetto crowd", then implied they wouldn't be able to afford it. I told him that if they could afford gold plated swing arms on their 'Busa's, they could afford a Buell or a Hog. Then, ( I was a bit miffed by then ) I told him ( where the owner could hear ) he'd gone lazy selling Harley's, where people come in & pick a color, but are by golly going to get a Hog. While across the parking lot ( at the "other" bike division, same folk ) they have to actually sell people on a Honda vs. a Kawa. Then I capped it with, "If you had Buell T-shirts, I'd buy Buell T-shirts, and if you welcomed the chrome plated 'Busa riders, they'd buy your hogs." I'm staying away for a week or two to let them calm down.

The TT looks interesting, but the Ss is more likely to get my $$ in the future, after they put a Uly seat & bag mounts on it.

Almost time to start the bike nites again. Wednesdays and Sundays, we always invite the other brands down. The Busa, Gixxer, and Honda rocket riders are closer to what we do than the Harley Chrome crew. Besides it is fun to watch the old guard groan when a wolf pack of 20-30 rockets pull in the dealership. Even more so when they find out they were invited and here for an organized and sponsored event at "their" dealership. Just got off of Ninjas myself, riding is riding, I would rather have you on one that I sell. Cant do that if you get shunned at the door. Besides it is fun to watch those long liter bikes in the hairpins and really twisted country roads. : D

Reep, looks like a City Cross.
Nice job there Slicker.
Smokescreen was thinking of doing the same thing before the TT came out.
I would have liked to see an XB9TT but I guess the 9s are relegated to City Cross only.
Too bad too, the 9 is such a nice engine, only under appreciated.

Glitch, I agree. I wish the TT did come in a 9. I prefer the 9 engine.

Had to have the 9 block, it was the only way to get it dressed in black. It is a stock City X as far as suspension travel, wheel. Just put the Blast Bars on it to give me more comfort for longer distance, and ability to get up in the pegs for dirty riding.

And our Arctic Blast from the showroom. I will show pics when it is done. Has anyone else seen one of these TT's on the road?!?!?!
