Imagine this;
Some of the folks at the Buell factory sitting around in the break room. One of them is on a laptop, surfing BadWeb. Conversation goes something like this;
Tech 1 -"Remember when we introduced our newest baby, the TT?" "Those folks on Bad Weather Bikers really slammed it hard."
Tech 2 -"Yeah, those guys are so opinionated and think they know everything."
Tech 3 - "We have a real problem with leaking info on that website."
Tech 1 - "Hey, that gives me an idea!" Let's teach them a lesson."
Techs 2 and 3 - "What do you have in mind?"
Tech 1 - "Oh, nothing much. Let's just start a rumor of our own." "Let's let it leak that we are going to produce dirt bikes." "Those guys will go nuts the rest of the winter with it and we will catch them totally off guard with the new model for '07!"

It does make sense, though. The bikes have been moving in that direction, dirt bikes wouldn't hurt sales on any current models, so there'd be little to lose in the announcement. It is a market that holds a lot of promise. Additionally, they'd piss a lot of people off if it weren't true seeing as it was originally publicly divulged to dealers at a show.

That IS funny Dan, but I doubt thats whats going on. I agree with Rick. The dealers would be pretty put off once they realized they had been used to diseminate disinformation.

Although I would be really interested to know exactly what the "Anonys" talk about with regard to BadWeb.

HINT HINT Anony. Care to share? I wont tell, I promise.

Well according to Court, the BWB and all the discussion here "Isn't even on the Radar".

So basically, they don't know, or maybe they just don't care what we think about anything.

It may not be on the radar as far as influencing what they are developing, (at least officially) but you know damn well there have been discussions around the coffee maker on Monday morning about who said what, gee wasnt that funny, boy will they be surprised, etc.

I don't know, Indy. Why should we think that more than one or two of them even read this site on a regular basis?

>>>they had been used to diseminate disinformation.

Ala the famous BLAST® "scripted" Arizona leak . . .

Let me clarify . . . LOTS of folks at the Buell factory read badweb. I have photos of computer monitors on the production line with badweb on the screens.

Comments like those the greeted the TT's birth hurt. But, remember these folks are, without exception motorcycle enthusiasts. The guy stapling the sheeting on the sides of the crates rode to work yesterday in Wisconsin winter weather.

They need, from time to time, to be reminded that the internet is often the equivalent of the men's room in a strip club. . . anyone can say about anything they want, they are well insulated from the consequences.

In addition, trying to get your marching orders from the internet is like trying to steer a car at 120MPH by looking out the side window at the dashed yellow lines.

By the way . . . I should point out that comments like "I don't like the side plates" are OPINION Comments like "what kind of horse's ass thought of this" is pretty well where credibility headed off down a side road.

BUT, Almost everyone that have seen the TT in person has stated it looks WAY better in person, than the pictures.

And the few of us who have actually RIDDEN the bike can attest, it's actually one of the best bikes Buell has built to date : )

Naustin,
You'd be surprised at how many are on here on a daily basis. Not all of them post annony. Some a couple of them are friends of mine that heck I've seen post even on a Sunday. They are here and are listening and watching. Some they take in and some they just plainly don't even bother paying any attention to.
