should only be about 12 yet feel like 3 degrees when I leave - .... good thing, it's only a mile away ... gotta have a reason to try out the new torque grips (which are more cushiony than they look - almost like a gel, probably not as comfortable as the traction grips on the M2 - but can't have the same on both bikes ) |

It's 24 degrees here and I'm riding, but I usually don't go unless it's at least 30. You're too manly man for me. I accept my girlie status. I will wear the wig. |

I think you're both insane. Although I'll admit, I'm usually game down to the low 30's. I'd ride in winter here if NY State didn't use so much damned salt - the roads are almost slipprier dry than they are covered in snow this time of year. |

Well I guess I need to put on a dress or something because I'm finding 40 degree riding almost unbearable. It's not too bad when I put my slicker suit on over my leathers, over silk liners, but the humid air just chills me to the bone here on the gulf coast. |

I stayed on the bike, and went to work after ...rode maybe 5 miles the whole night .. so it isn't like I'm fit for a straight jacket crazy or anything .... but it was single digits when I came home at around midnight.... Really though - with proper gear I could probably tolerate the cold .. I was just layered extremely thick last night ... Neighbors are probably thinking - 'Thought we get a break from the bikes over winter' This Force pipe on the S1 is suuuper loud !I almost feel bad for them ... but I just pull in the cul de sac as quietly as I can and pull the bikes right in the garage .. been here 5 years and all my bikes are loud, as is one of my cars ... they haven't run me out yet ... |

Went out for about 30mins this evening. 13 degrees...My new CityX handguards helped! Did a nice burnout in front of the house to warm up the tire My wife thinks I'm a dork, but my kids were cheering |

hmmm... I live in So.Ga. My starter doesn't work if the temp is below 50. Not sure if its a factory defect or what? Maybe it's a rider defect? I'll have to get that looked at. There isn't but maybe 40 days where the high isn't at least 50. |

I wouldn't know why the starter wouldn't work. How much below 50 degrees are you talking? Is your battery up to the task? |

yeah i'm pretty sure the battery works. I think it may be in my thumb. come to think of it I don't really get near my bike when it's below 50. Call me a what you'd like. Here in south georgia we just have too many nice days above 50 to ride at anything below that. I'll give to you all out there riding in the singles. the once or twice a decade when it gets down to the singles down here its even too cold for me to go hunting. |

17 degrees with 30 mph winds here, and I just rode 52 miles on my CityX. The handguards are a big help. It was nice to take the bike out and see other people's reactions. |

Citycrosser-- I agree. Definitely fun to see the faces of motorists. |

I went out today for a ride around the Pine Barrens (NJ). Saw no other motorcycles! Day was sunny with temperature around 27F. At 70 mph the wind chill is around -8F, but who cares! Heated clothing was the best investment I did! Bike ran great, and the best thing is that the damn fan never comes on unless I turn off the bike. Paul |
