Glitch - people joke that I try to keep it so clean I might as well not ride ... it might get dirty ...

Hey - there is nothing wrong with rolling a shiny bike out EVERY time you ride ! I just hate when I forget to do the wheels !!!

Truth is - if you keep it clean on a regular basis, it becomes easier to clean each time as there will be less to clean, which makes it uber easy to keep it that way ...

Steve - I actually have to do a quick touching up on yours ... lots of dust from sitting , and I went to start it up the other day to get the oil pumpin... no start ... gotta charge up your battery as well, you don't have a tender for it do ya ?

Now if the city would've done a halfway decent job of clearing the streets, I might have been tempted to take my 'clean' bike out for a bit ...

I think the last time I went out was X-mas weekend (at least it seems like it was that long ago) perfect weather from what I can remember.

I gotta finish my bathroom, I have no room to work on the bikes with all the supplies&crap taking over my "garage".

A handyman I am not. It is a bit depressing, I should've had that bathroom done last August.

I used to say "what is this thing you call 'Winter'?" I've learned my lesson this year. Please take your darn "Winter" back up North where it belongs! joker

Yeah, I was going to take the bike to work this morning. The roads are clean and dry now for the most part. But I started putting my gear on, and glanced at the Thermometer.... +4F is even a bit too chilly for me. : (

Blake - you haven't fully learned your lesson ...

...at least not until you get at least 12" of powder dumped on ya in one falling, then another 5-7 the next day ... then you can can fully appreciate what us Northerner's usually go through ... usually - this year however, has been mild - but that has spoiled us, being down for 2 weeks is nothing, usually we're down at least 2-3 months ...

I did actually get out on the bike yesterday though, even with the salt, ice and freezing temps ... wasn't too bad aside from me dressed up like an eskimo ... and having to clean the bike promptly after getting back in the garage .. gotta love the heated garage !!

If that's what it takes to appreciate what y'all go through, I'll stick with fully appreciating what us Southern Folk go through.

No it don't! Without this real winter season i'd never do maintenance properly.
I've got all my parts now,and plenty of time to reassemble the X1 for MB-IV.

BRING IT ON!

Nothing like riding home after work and hitting a snow squalls. I just had to laugh, under my helmet and pray for no ice.

Save the planet, ride it year round!

Here in Atlanta, we really don't see winter.

The temps have been running 30-50F for the past two weeks, and I do remember a fair bit of rain mixed in there. But, aside from when the "ice storm" moved through here the other day, I've been riding just about every day. ...heated grips, heated vest, and no stupid road salt or sand make it a lot easier.

30-50F? That's not winter!
For some of you, this would be called "Spring"
For some sickos over in AdvRider, this would be called "Summer"
But,here in Atl, they call this "Winter", and I'm tired of trying to convince them otherwise.

I might like this time of year better than any other as:
It's the only time of year you can really see through the corners
No bugs
As the only bike at work, my parking rocks!

I for one would KILL for even 30 degree weather right now!

I've only ridden the bike once in like 2 1/2 weeks.

And I'm on the 2nd tank of gas in the truck so far this year. Last year all I put in the truck was 2 tanks...

One week of winter, that's nothing. It's been winter here for the past 2 months, still have about 2 feet of snow on the ground since 12/22/06. Last time on the bike was in December.

It is suppose to be warmer so trying to get the hubby to go out for a ride soon. MUST GET ON THE BIKE!!!!
