does anybody know the thread pitch and size of the retainer nut that holds on the tripometer reset knob on the dashboard ? I know dumb question but mine flew off this morning and I want to stop at Lowes on the way home and rummage through their nut and bolt section. I'd guess 1/2 x 20.

Ken,

Just get someone to hold the doors open and ride the bike right up to the nut & bolt bin.

You will get assistance almost immediately.

Good Luck
