Private Messages will be sent to the email address you specified in your personal profile. Any alerting or notification of an email sent to whatever address you specified in your profile will be a function of that receiving email system account.

......and you would need to access that email system account to retrieve any messages (such as PM) that were sent to it.

A PM here is a Prime Minister & I can assure you, you don't want one.

However a pm is an afternoon & I have one of those every day!

Just look outside in your driveway,
your PM, (Parked Motorcycle) should still be there where you left it.
Beware of PMS and ride your bike regularly...
