Any suggestions????? I love my shoei but it really foggs up, I have tried all of the remedys and the only thing that works is keeping it cracked open.

Any suggestions on other brands that have better fog protection. I remember seeing one that had a nose piece that blocked your breath from the face sheild.

Scorpion, in my experience, has excellent anti-fog properties...if it fits you well, it's worth the price, which is very very reasonable. The visors detach easily, liners are removable, interchangeable and washable. The smoke and clear visors are the guaranteed anti-fog, but my boyfriend has a mirrored visor which he says never fogs up...maybe go try one on and see what you think.

Also, look for a product called "cat crap", it's similar to a paste wax that you buff on to the shield. Works well.

Get a "Respro Foggy" insert. I got mine from www.kneedraggers.com. It velcro's into your helmet and fits over your nose and mouth directing all your breath out the bottom of the helmet. I also wear a Balaclava and I get zero fogging, even with the vents on the helmet closed. It takes some getting used to, and you have to have it adjusted and fit in your helmet just right for it to work - but its worth it.

Moving to Georgia helped immensely! Here they call it cold when it drops below 60!

And you get to keep the helmet you have.

The Respro Foggy really works.

Also you can temporarily get good anti-fog by using baby shampoo - a few drops polished into the back side like you would use a plastic polish. Works for a couple hours. You can do the same thing using "Sea Drops" anti-fog for scuba diving. Comes in a convenient small bottle.

Cat Crap rocks...

Do you use a breath guard?

I have had excellent results with the Scorpions as well. On a very cold night I actually had ice crystals beginning to form high up on the inside of the visor (so you know there was moisture in there) but no fogging. I also have the chin dam and that really helps to keep the wind from whistling through it at high speeds.

Thx for the suggestions I still haven't replaced my 10 year old shoei.... I am gonna have to bite the bullet and do it.

No breath guard at all and the last couple of mornings a bellaclava hasn't helped..

It was a scorpion helmet I saw.....I even tried one on but I cannot recall how it fit.
