Dave, I come from an AMC family.
While growing up we had a Marlin, several Javlins, including an AMX, several Ramblers, a Sportabout, a couple of Hornets, another Gremlin, my Mom even drove a Pacer, it was her favorite car.
After High School I had a '52 Dodge Meadowbrook. Talk about roomy! I had 12 people in the car once.

Aw, hell; I once put 12 people in the cab of my '67 International 1/2 ton pickup, then drove them all home. It was below zero, and I never shifted out of first gear. |

Get HIGH school? I rode a "75" Honda 500T(twin)cafe'd out. I didn't need no stinkin car. The back seat was plenty big enough for one, and the sleepin bag straped to the front forks worked out jest fine. |

Garelli Moped... My first taste of an exotic, meaning half the time it would not run, and it was damn near impossible to get parts for.
And (parents) Chevy Chevette. It gets a bad rap, but it was a dirt cheap and durable little manual transmission car. It did what it needed to do.
And an Impala wagon... which though it was an ugly impala wagon, it made some wonderful noises when you stepped on the gas (V8 350). |

Even though the above is not a Sport Wagon (which had the glass roof windows similar to the Olds Vista Cruiser), I wouldn't mind rolling in that sub 9 second Wagon.
Now if I could only get my hearse in the sub 9 second range...

If H-D comes out with an Evel Edition, I'll buy one.
Interesting comment. FYI, Evel was a recent guest at Milwaukee Harley Davidson which is about a mile from Harley's Capitol Drive plant and Willie G was reported to have spent an awful lot of time with him.
Evel lead a charity ride in an 1960's Shelby Cobra as a passenger and had his rolling museum there for the festivities.
Even if HD doesn't come out with an Evel Special, all it would take is some paint and aftermarket parts.
If you take that one step further, I can imagine a dressed up, souped up Evel Special coming out of Harley's custom vehicles operation.
So far, HD's prototype suits me just fine, but I have to agree that I like the Storz version best of all. However, a turnkey bike from them is $25.0 plus and one from Lawwill is considerably more.
As I am betting on HD pricing the basic street tracker in line with the other Sporsters, that's the route I will go and customize it gradually over time.
Sure would be neat if HD had a plethora of upgrades in their parts & accessories catalog. Gosh, they could even add the Evel Knievel Collection of riding gear to their motor clothes catalog. Actually, retro styled flat track clothing might be better unless you are participating in an Elvis look-alike contest. 
Gosh, Isn't customization what Harley, and to a degree Buell, are all about? |

Gee...Capes are easy to make. Ask some creative Mother that is making her Son's Halloween Costume to whip one up for you.
Actually, Harley does have two nice looking jackets in their existing line to fill the bill in classic black with Screaming Eagle graphics. Just no pants or boots to go with it.
Seriously, I would love to participate in a focus group or whatever that addresses the potential Street Tracker. Heck, I only live a few short miles from the factory and I will pay my own expenses. |

Liberace was from Milwaukee too!
As a kid he used to hit all the bars along Mitchell Street playing for pennies a song.
Back then, the local's gave him the nickname "Liber-Ace."
Might be a fitting name for a bike or at least a line of leathers, eh? |
