First Buell a 1999 M2, now a 2003 XB9S, Immediately before; a 1978 Yamaha, RD400 before that a 1997 ZX-7, 1989 ZX-7, a 1990 Goldwing 1500, another RD 400, a 1984 or 82 GW 1100, RZ 350, GS1100, a RD125 a JAWA 350 and a few others I think I have forgotten about. Cross-state and cross country trips on both ZX 7's, GW 1200, Buell M2 and XB9S and on both RD 400's and the RZ 350.... P.S. The 1978 RD 400 has just been rebuilt and refreshed all thru it and I hope to pick it up in the next weeks. (Message edited by CURTYD on July 24, 2006) | ||

My wife doesn't ride much these days, and my Buell is the one I own now that is strictly used by me. I still have the Pacific Coast for an occasional ride with my better half. By far, the Buell is my favorite. I really enjoyed my T160 Triumph, but had to watch my rear view mirrors to check for parts that vibrated off. Still sorry I sold that bike. | ||

I can't write that much without cramping up--- but in the years just before my Buell Suzuki GS 1100E(?) Honda VT 500 HD XL 883 HD XL 1200 HD Fatboy HD Electraglide Standard which I had for less than a year when the dealer invited me to a test ride on these new "Buells" he was getting. Last new bike I bought. Since then I have had 2 more S-2's, Suzuki 600 Katana, KTM 620, 1982 Yamaha Turbo Seca 1999 Triumph Daytona 955 Still have my S-2 street,my S-2 Bonneville bike,a 1999 Triumph Sprint ST,a KTM 300 MXC,a Honda XL 100,2 SL-100's,a SL-70,and the Yamaha FJ-600 turbobike.And a couple of poor broken/burnt/chopper-butchered Buells I parted out. Somewhere at home I have a list of them all. | ||

First bike was a 1978 Yamaha XS400 and then: 1998 Yamaha FZR 600 2003 Buell XB9S and now 2006 Buell XB12R I was proud to say last week after I picked up the XB12R that I have actually owned more bikes than cars in my life. Bought my first bike in '68... a BSA 441 Shooting Star... next was a series of bikes that included a Honda 450, Honda 305 Super Hawk, 2 Yamaha XS1 650's, Kawasaki 650 SS,BMW R75/5 (which I sold to get married... good decision on my part) and a 1977 Triumph T140V Bonneville (which is still in my garage!) My Buell is a 98 S1W White Lightning. I also have a '04 Road King. I do not intend to ever sell one of my bikes, again! | ||
