CMJ,

AMEN, I attempted to elude to him the simple fact of life that respect breeds respect. He seems to be rather single minded.

On a lighter note your Blast has definite possibilities in regards to graphics. And what's this about being 'old' :). I figure age is relative and if I start counting backwards at 50, I'll be acting my relative age in no time. :)

Hahaha...Troy...you've been looking into little 'ol me. I'm so flattered . Hey, I like 'em...and did you know I have enough in body art to buy a used SV? I know you wouldn't have the creativity to draw any such designs, nor the balls and talent to pierce yourself or others. Not your cup 'o tea, though...very typical. Not many people have an open mind to such things...

You sure have a lot of excuses now Troy. Your fear is evident now...and it's very entertaining. Ah, how fragile the ego can be.

but, but, not real racers...

People mention race prepped Buells and licensed racers and the guy cries for more bike.

Troy if you don't like us or our bikes please leave. Some of us are into are BUELL's for different reasons, like sport touring, dragracing, show and shine and yes track day's. If all you wanted is to see one in action then you might want to travel to another track if they aren't running them in your area.

T3.
So an entire lap headstart is not enough for you and your SV??? Simply decline the challenge.

In all your whining, you seem to have conveniently ignored that an SV weighs significantly less than even an XB9R.

RacerX1 is not a pro racer, but he is a racer. He offered to spot you an entire lap! Traffic would be FAR more of a hindrance to the guy trying to do 8 laps compared to the guy only needing to complete 7 in the same time. Yet you are skeered and waffle and whine. Go away then. You are ALL mouth. That is all too obvious now. An entire LAP!! Hey Wes! Can I get that same deal? :]

CCS/FUSA HW Sportsman is now called Thunderbike. Lots of SV's do quite well in CCS/FUSA Thunderbike. The SV would not qualify for MW Sportsman, so contrary to your misconception, the SV is perfectly classed to run in HW Sportsman (now Thunderbike).

The Sportsman/Thunderbike class is for non-repliracer class motorcycles like Buells, Triumphs, and SV's. Thus the Duc 748/749's are excluded. If not, they would completely dominate the class and that would be silly. The Duc 1000SS is welcome in the class and is a very worthy competitor.

Quit your whining and crying. A simple challenge was made. Sounds quite fair to me. Accept or decline. It's that simple.

You think so ?? I feel the need to personalize it somewhat !! I don't really mind being my age, the alternative's much worse !! LOL

Sure hope Wes and/or Daves gets the chance to race TTT, but he seems like he's not really wanting what he says he does, or maybe he doesn't know what he wants, or maybe I'm easily confused !!

Well, looking at some figures...it seems most stock displacement race prepped Buells I've seen stats for weigh in at around 420lbs race ready and make around 90-95hp. That makes for 4.4~4.7lbs/hp. Seeing Troy's SV is a street ride as well, around 350lbs track ready is a reasonable figure, thus requiring roughly 75-79hp to match the 4.4~4.7lbs/hp. That can't be that hard...see, you don't need another bike Trollie. With your oodles of $$ I'm sure you could swing that in no time.

Blake, I never said I wouldn't do it, it just makes me wonder why you guys seem to think that my desire to meet a Buell at the track can only be answered by the 2 or 3 people here or actually use their Buells as, apparently, something other than a way to avoid a Harley.

And, if you guys want to whine about 748's so badly, why not get Erik to build a competitive machine instead of rigging the contests? As far as a lap headstart, Wes's proposal is quite interesting, even with all the gimme's.

To you it may be a simple challenge, but so was my initial mission statement when I came here, and running a racebike against a streetbike appears to be a little lopsided. Now, it appears that CCS also allows unlimited displacement twins against other bikes in the "Sportbike" class, which strikes me as much more even steven. Since an unlimited displacement Buell would fit in there as well, why I can't use class rules to my advantage just like Wes wishes to use them to his? Or is it a case of "If a Bueller wants it, its okay, but no one else is allowed to use our rules against us"?

And Rick, showing off your ignorance on what the wet weight of a stock sv650 is won't improve your standing with the children you so obviously emulate. Mike claims Wes's bike makes more than 100HP, my sv isn't going to be turned into a trackbike for the simple "running of the Buells", so it weighs about 410-420 pounds depending on which rag you read. And its about a 65HP machine. Now you sound as silly as Mike when he ran around quoting all those stupid Firebolt numbers to AMS. Give yourself a dozen years and come back and talk when you don't spew drivel. Oh yeah, and go ride a few better machines or something as well, it would be awful if a dozen years from now you were still as inaccurate and silly as you are today.

I keep seeing the "shut up" here and in another area of BadWeb and I have to laugh...I even got the DVD out just to see the scene...

ARTHUR:
Be quiet!
DENNIS:
Well, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
ARTHUR:
Shut up!
DENNIS:
I mean, if I went 'round saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
ARTHUR:
Shut up, will you? Shut up!
DENNIS:
Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system.
ARTHUR:
Shut up!
DENNIS:
Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
ARTHUR:
Bloody peasant!
DENNIS:
Oh, what a give-away. Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about. Did you see him repressing me? You saw it, didn't you?

Substitute names as needed. :)

I am agreeing. It was obvious Troy was a troll from the start, but he was at least an entertaining one then and the discussions were fun.

Now he is just tedious. Don't feed the trolls. And I honestly hope he gets help. I think Petey nailed it on day one (or thereabouts).

Notice that he never answers the direct questions? Where or when to race one of these guys.

He always slides one way or the other and answers them with frivolous numbers and anecdotes never answering the direct question. After sliding to the side he trys to redirect the conversation to one that puts the other person on the defensive or attempts to get under thier skin. By doing so he never has to answer the direct question at hand. I see this type of situation on a regular basis. In politics we call this "spin".

My suggestion to you guys on this situation is to limit this converstion to matters that include a time, date, place etc... or discontinue feeding the animal all together.

just my 2cents worth

I wish someone would just take a Bolt to the track, kick his sorry ass, and shut him the FUCK up.

He is not entertaining any more!!!!!!!!!

The Man BOY puts out a challenge and has a couple of challengers take him up on his offer, THEN he starts making excuses. What does he want every Buell in North America to go race at the track on weekends. Some of us are just not into that!!!!

EITHER TAKE THE BOYS UP ON THEIR OFFER AND GO RACE OR CRAWL BACK INTO THE HOLE YOU ESCAPED FROM

excuse my language but people like him really piss me off - bloody idiot

While Troy's posts are generally too tedious to read in their entirety, it is getting funny that if you read his first and last posts, his premise changes from:

"Buells suck and no one takes them to the track."

to:

"I won't race you guys because your bikes are too good and you spend too much time at the track."

I did find a different angle on his track photo that may explain some things:

I don't have any track days in Oct Troy. That's huntin' season.

On to the stock Firebolt, do I have to run stock tires or can I at least swap them for some H2s?

If you are in fact, not just trolling with us then let's do it. MAM is about 1/2 way for each of us. I think the 2 day weekend end of Aug. would be best, you can learn the track on Sat and we can run together on Sunday. OK? Or if you don't want to race "heads up" we can compare lap times, fastest times wins.

I think it's time to "put up or shut up"

PS,
Congrats on getting the wife's OK to go racing!

Ride to the edge!

Elvis,

Is that woman riding a BUELL BLAST ??? I would think she needs a little more protective gear!!!

All,

As far as three women in a tent... that is not what I said at all, you all have over-active imaginations.

Troy,

If you are too much of a pussy to put your money where your mouth is just use someone who cares to build your own ego and not other people who don't know you and are 'internet strangers'.

After the comment (Re 'Elves World Record') was made 'Who cares anyway, that was in a straight line?' You crossed from 'IGNORANT AND ANNOYING' to 'PSYCHO : DEFINITELY IN NEED OF A LOBATOMY OR SHOCK THERAPY OR MEDS OR ALL THREE'.

Anyhow, I take it all with a grain of salt... I have better men to amuse myself with... where did Boese go ???
