To make it as short as possible:

The Buell specialist saw the thief riding my bike around town, followed on his bike, called the cops, who then gave chase. The thief decided to run, went airborned, crashed on the right side, slid about 100 yds. He then tried to foot it, then wedged himself under a PU truck and refused to come out. The officer decided to call a K9 unit. The dog nipped him a few times and they managed to dragged him out. But he was hurt enough from the crash they had to call for an ambulance. The green paint is NOT mine, nor is the eyes decals on the headlights, nor is the repaint on the aluminum tail. Actually, the tailpiece is what hurts me the most. The starter switch is jury rigged on the left handlebar. Supposedly had a temporary license tag. I don't know how or who would've issue one.

Good that you can get your bike back and without a lot of damage.
Best part though, now you know who he is....

They should shoot the guy for pinching your bike, then they should shoot him again for painting it John Deer Green. No tractor motor comments please...

Like I said, small town. Glad to see you got it back. Like Peter said, now you know who he is.
You should also find out who his pals are.
