Captpete, I've had Infantile ADD, Junior ADD, Teenage ADD, so no surprise about the adult version, apparently it go's with a high IQ & low boredom threshhold.
Which is one of the reasons you never see me getting into these p***ing contests on here, I can't be arsed, got too many other things to do, like ride the bike, mend the bike, service the truck, watch baseball, work on the house, read a book, watch tv, play with the new puppy, etc etc etc ........
I have a theory bout ADD too, I believe it's caused by people having an awareness of the world & the fact that they'll never have the time to fit everything in, so they flit from one thing to the next often never finishing, the same with jobs and
I wan't to die peacefully in my sleep, like my Uncle. Not screaming in terror like his passengers!

Blake, what's your Chaos v. Order index?

When Rocket used my Chaos v. Order thread to launch an attack on Aaron 'someone' deleted my thread.

That bothers me because it gives Rocket, or any other gossipy old hag the power to remove threads simply by crapping on them.

I get the idea perhaps you don't want me posting on this site...all you have to do to accomplish that is ask me to leave, publicly or privately.

Hans made the statement about truth. Searching for truth on Badweb must make him feel like Diogenes.

as do i.

i sent you a PM yesterday morning, did you get it?
EDIT: Paul, i just saw your other reply to my question. can you resend your e-mail to me, as i never got it. thx.

Paul, I've said nothing about Aaron I haven't said before. You aren't pissed about your thread being removed so much as you're pissed that my words have some truth to them that you have no facts to defend against.

You've become like so many of the more typical Sacborg trolls. You're quick to judge me when you've never met me, but because I speak of things you don't like to hear about people you now call your friends.

Do you think I'd bother putting my neck in the trolls noose if it were not a true and valid cause? Do me a favour mate. I've got better things to do than make this shit up.

I've said as much as I'm going to here and on Sacborg. You have the details. Like Blake said "The miserable gossiping hags own words provide all the evidence a fair person needs to understand reality".

Bon voyage.

Blake, you're to kind to some who deserve to have the truth thrown at them. I hope I've not fractured any rules enough to leave you pissed off at me. This will conclude my latest round of derisive postings.

Thanks for understanding.

"This will conclude my latest round of derisive postings."
And I can only pray that it will end them for good. You have gone way beyond what is acceptable with your attacks.Whether they are true or not is not even relative. If you have personal problems with folks do not air them here for all to see --and in such a derisive and miserable manner. And then to take offense when we object to the tone of your posts is even worse.
Sean, you are like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde--one minute sweetness and light and the next time you are here you go off the deep end.So keep any and all personal issues you may have with people private and don't drag the rest of us into YOUR fight.

And that comment applies to EVERYONE that posts here--keep the pointed barbs and snide innuendoes to yourself,it speaks poorly of your purported integrity and good will.
Some of the moderators might take note of this as well.

Sheesh, guys they say girls are bad !!

I think Dyna said it best on Sacborg, divorces happen !! Sometimes friendships grow distant and sometimes they end and it becomes irrepairable.

Doesn't mean anyone has to disrespect someone by publicly maligning them on some website, or even discussing it publicly period.

You don't have to say anything bad or even think anything bad about another, it's just differences with some hurt feelings thrown in, doesn't make one person wrong or another right.

Disappointments or feelings of being let down should be kept private. How one handles one self after a break up (divorce or friendship) is what determines a person's character. Some of you need to step up to the plate and show a little character !!

Once a friend, should mean you have enough respect to not talk BS, even in the name of truth about someone who may or may not be a friend any longer.

Give it rest !! CJ

FMJ, the custodians are human (except for me), with feelings (except for me), and are doing their best (including me).

but your point is well taken, and i encourage the custodians (including me) to be "bigger" than anything we may read on these pages, and to weigh our words, and/or our actions, most carefully.

Glitch, it won't end until there's some sort of closure. There's a fundamental problem here that adversly affects those of us who know and like ALL the participants.

Unless you take the ostrich approach and blindly allign yourself to one or the other of the camps, this is pitting friend against friend, and I'm a little resentful of the flippant attitude that it doesn't effect us.

Paul,
I mentioned this in another thread, but this involves more that just two people, sometimes you can't force someone to "make up", sometimes it just takes time. I personally had about 3 dozen emails directly and indirectly related to some of these issues and extending to a major non-sponsor company. I recently decided it wasn't worth the baggage so they were printed out for future defense if need be, filed away, then purged from the electronic archives. You, I can safely assume, only know part of the whole story, just as I only know my part of the story. Sometimes the only closure comes with time as it fades slowly away from active memory. I see about nine camps in the story, probably more, some I won't venture into any more, some I do, some only occasionally and when doing so I attempt to remain civil while visiting there. I won't name the camps I see, but there are definitely more than two. In fact one in particular I'm watching with curious amusement to see what cards are eventually played (note: this particular camp in question has not been a part of this specific thread that I know of).

So, with that being said, I'd suggest we all take a curtain call on this and close the show on this particular issue. Your life, but for me I'm waiting for the rain to stop so I can finish drying out the relays in the S2 so I can go for a nice medium-long evening ride on Friday to see some old friends, make some new friends, thread lightly around marginal friends, and just try to have a pleasant time.

How's the owl population out your way, both winged and the two-legged ground-based eco varieties? Hopefully all is well with you and your's. Take care.

MikeJ

Paul, got your e-mail, thanks.

re the relays: they come apart really easy. take 'em apart, clean the insides as necessary, and reassemble using a high-quality RTV sealant to seal the seam between the body of the relay and the base.

if you're meticulous, you should only ever have to do this once.

Paul,
Our last system restore of the home computer ended up with us buying a new computer. Sometimes it's best to just go forward and not look back. Then sometimes in life you trip over someone later on in life that you forgot about in the past and it's just like starting over from scratch again with bygones left behind as bygones, excess baggage left on the dock. In the end, hopefully, it will all end up good.

Side story: we've got two Spruce with fairly straight trunks for about 40'-60' or so that we need to take down between our house and the neighbor's. I'm looking at them thinking I see a boat contained inside, but the Mrs. sees firewood. Not sure how the story will end yet, probably in the middle with me ending up with a couple of good chopping blocks and some firewood for sale on the curbside with the proceeds buying some marine grade plywood. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and take what you can along the way and hopefully end up with as many fingers and toes as you started life off with. Life goes on, usually.

Tramp,
Your relay issues probably weren't self induced at the car wash. I guess S2's really are different than M2's. Oops.

Jerry,
Thanks for the info. Guess what I'll be looking at tonight and tomorrow. Maybe I'll pop them out and clean them up at the desk here at work during the day.

Another alternative to the wet relay problem is to bore a small hole to let the moisture OUT, you can then squirt WD40 or duck oil or whatever crap you like in to drive out the wet.
I know this works, as for years the connection boxes for the lighting on the rear of our semis used to corrode like hell inside due to water ingress over the winter & we had a lot of problems until we started leaving drain holes.
The problem with any "sealed" unit is pressure differential. When you go from a lower to a higher atmospheric pressure area such as mountains down to the coast the sealed unit will want to equalise the pressure thereby "sucking" & if it's wet it'll pull in moisture.
Hence the old saying pressure differentials suck.
OK that last bit I made up but the rest is true.

Spruce isn't ideal for boat framing because of its tendency to split when fastened.

What you want is Port Orford Cedar. Which I just happen to be milling, or will be soon.

Need lumber?

Gas is a bit too high to make it worth the 2,300 mile trip each way at 15mpg. I do have some cedar strips cut by a logger in NorCalif that are destined to become either a canoe or pulling boat of some type eventually. Maybe something along these lines that I can get out into Lake Michigan with.

I miss the surf dory I had when I lived out west, but it was a bit heavy to singlehand.

I always thought the Spruce had good weight to strength ratio which was why some home aircraft builders liked it. But since I didn't get my dad's portable saw mill when he passed away I'm thinking the trees will become firewood.

Glitch,
Let it pass, go for a ride, enjoy the weather and roads, and do a search on SacBorg for some of Snail's fishing and sea pictures. He's a good guy, as are you, and you both have an affinity for mountain roads. Somehow I think if the two of you are ever in the same place with your bikes the rest of the world would just fade away as you rode the day away.

The motors stick out of my shirt sleeves. ;)
But right now the engine is way underpowered so I'm going to put it through a rebuild of sorts. First I'm going to take a bunch of weight off of the engine, then during the process the cams, carb, cylinders, and fuel systems will be improved. I'm thinking the exhaust system will self-modulate during the process and take care of itself. Probably take a year before it's ready for a dyno test, which just happens to be how long it will probably take me to build the boat. I'd post a before pic but I'd be banned if I did so I won't.

Jim, I'm not like Jekyl and Hide at all. I've never changed my stance on the matter at all.

On the other hand, if I come across as having some sort of split personality, that I'll accept on the basis that I'm perhaps good at writing out my moods of the moment, which if you were with me in person at any one time you might say "Sean's in a good mood today" or "Sean's in a bad mood today". Either way, it won't change my beliefs and I'll always endeavour to tell you or anyone else the truth. I'm a firm believer in the portrayal of real life persona on a forum rather than having some weird alter ego going on to make one sound or look cool. That as it happens is what I see wrong with so many personalities on Sacborg.

And just for the record Jim, I don't believe I've gone too far with any personal attack here or on Sacborg recently. In perspective, what I have said that I believe you're referring to would take no more than about 30 seconds to speak aloud. Though some French playwright once wrote, 'the pen is mightier than the sword' which I guess supports your comment in some respects.

I'm off the soap box now, and I hope you understand Jim.
