It's been a year since Vincent's accident.

Please let him know he has not been forgotten! He does read these e-mails.

I proudly carry a "Checker" sticker on my front fender.
I'd rather sweat than bleed, wouldn't you?
White is definitely the FASTEST color Buell.

His first surgery to stabilize his spine was an utter failure.
He lived with the pain for a while (months) before they found
a massive infection destroying the bones at the anchor points.
when they went in to remove it of the 4 bolts only one didn't
"fall" out of it's place. they cleaned out the nastiness and
installed a new brace system, and startyed him on a massive dose
of anti-biotics. He was recovering from that surgery and starting
over in his re-hab efforts last I heard. He's a fighter and I know
he'll do better than the average joe blow in the same situation.
I do not know what his current status is, as far as up to the
minute. But I do know it had to be devestating to start
over in the rehab.

Pleas send emails to: getwellvincent@gmail.com.

Vincents old occupation was in building construction so He
really has to start his whole life over.
The medical bills are overwhelming. Make donations to the Wegman
fund to help Vincent, and other racers injured on the track.

http://www.wegmanfund.org/

Every little bit helps.
Regular insurance won't help a bit if you're injured racing.
The Wegman fund is not for profit and really helps people that
get knocked down pursuing our sport, even at a regional or local level.

I hope I haven't stepped on any toes posting a link to Wegman,
I feel it is a very worthy cause.

Since I'm up on the soapbox another worthy cause is:

https://secure.echoalley.com/actionfund/

They match funds donated and buy airfence to be deployed at races.
As a bonus if you donate $25 or more you get a nifty "crash hard
land soft" t-shirt. I have one in my closet.

Bottom line: Do what you can to help. Send vincent a direct e-mail (see above)
Please donate to wegman and or the action fund if you can. Plus you'll feel good
about doing it!
