no tach no speedo no odometer
check the fuses, pulled it out-dropped it, cant find it, pull battery, still cant see where it went, between plastic and metal battery mount?, get antother fuse, put the battery in.
all works fine now.
BUT, was the fuse blown?(remember I dropped it before I could check, and didn't want to pull the whole bike apart on the side of the road)
if so why, and would just pulling the battery out "reset" something to make it work again?

thanks

some times a fuse is blown and doesn't look like it. There is a small fuse checker that you can buy at the auto parts store, it has a little check light and works great.

Try the spare fuse,

On the S1, I know that the wiring inside the stock fender dropped and came from the wheel which frayed throough the insulation the wires shorted and POOF out went my lights, damm thing happened at night as well. When the wires shorted the fuse performed its job and blew.

The fuse did not look blown at the time.

Misato,
I had a similar experience with my 9R.
One week after the incident, on a long ride, my speedo sensor gave out.

The dealer replaced it and I have had no problems since.

I guess I'll wait and see if it happens again.
