I figure its because its new that its hard to get into neutral. twice it was in neutral and the light was not on. anyone else have that problem? I'm still breaking it in so I'm sure it will get better.
I also cant put the throttle sire bar end on because it makes the throttle stick, I'm gonna try and cut the end off the grip. anyone else run into that?

Great mods. It is the best looking XB9S I've seen yet. Where did you get the turn signals?

By the way, I had a hell of a time with nuetral when I first got by xb9r, but it seems to have improved with time. Funny thing though, the only time it gives me a hard time recently is when I am on a steep uphill or downhill slope and only if I am at a complete stop.

yeah, if I hit neutral before I stop it seems to like that better. the blinkers are from www.lockhartphillips.com the local cyclegear store had them in stock.

My bike XB9R has about 3000 miles on it. It is much easier to find neutral now. Sometimes a little blip of the throttle while trying to find neutral helps. The overall shifting has become much smoother as I have put more miles on the bike. I have bar end weights on mine. I had to cut the end of the grip a bit and make sure the bar end was not pushed all the way into the bar to keep it from sticking.

Misato,
Nice job on the 9S. I like the tail section much better that way.

I'm not having any trouble with nuetral on my bike 9R, but then I've been riding Sportsters for years, so maybe I'm just used to this type of tranny.

Throttle side bar end mirror, I was having the same trouble you are. The solution for me was to move the controls towards the center just slightly to give the throttle tube clearance. Easy fix.

I was going to try that, I wasn't sure if the handle bars had "grooves" in them so the controls wont move..
Maybe I'm just used to my 900rr tranny with 25k+ miles on it..

Misato, are you running the race rear fender kit sold by L-P? Your lightning looks sweet.. you've done a lot of the same as I have. I'm with Timbo about getting used to that type of tranny, my Harley was a pain to find neutral sometimes too.

Any concern with stones damaging the belt? It looks really good with the belt guards off, but the guards are on there for a good reason - hate to see ya get stranded somewhere with a broken belt.

I took the guards off the X1 7000 miles ago and haven't had a problem yet....(knocking on wood) that said....I won't take the guards off the XB9....there's too much stress on that belt anyways..........................and I like dirt tracking it down gravel roads!

I would suggest that removing the belt guard for the XB's 11mm belt is an inordinately poor idea.

Hi Court,
How do I read your bulletin?
Has there been any change to the belt from the initial release?

I know how to compress a picture, not a .zip file. I'll get the entire thing in the knolwedge vault today.
