hi newfie, if we can get his attention i got a question about part #'s too! i looked in my service manual(99m2) to try and find a # for u for the piston(since my 99m2 has thunderstorm heads)but there wasn't a part# available(they tell u how 2 rip it apart and put it back 2gether but no part#s)don't know why. anyway is there a parts book that has every blessed part in it? and if so where is the best place 2 purchase it?

Try the parts catalog. Local dealer or American sport bike. Nice exploded drawings. That + the Service Manual gives you a pretty good shot at working on the Buell. For the 2000-2001 model they list standard, .005-.010-.020-.030 over Piston/ring sets.

I found it on the Buell website but it listed for the S1W.

Are these the pistons to go with the T-Storm Heads??

Thanks Guys,

I got the answer and Spidey I was not home or at the office when I thought of the question. I was actually at the Local HD Retailer and they could not figure out if it was the right ones.

There is no Buell Retailer here in Newfoundland so I usually supply the part numbers to make ordering things easy. When I do that I have to make sure the numbers are correct as everything is a special order. On the other side they always manage to get my parts in a timely manner (around 7-10 days) and thats pretty good seeing normal mail is about 5-7 days.

If they were a Buell Retailer they would be up there with some of the better ones for service.

A lot of times it takes a bit of work with the Retailers to get things right.
