Officially the "average" HD rider is a 47 year old male who makes $75,000 a year (no kidding) I blow the curve on that one. I'm younger and poorer. I am judgemental towards "trophy riders". If you want to impress me, don't get out of your Toyota and come tell me how cool your bike at home is, take it out of the garage and ride the friggin thing! ChainSaw 01 Sportster 03 Firebolt |

Father Dave Gess and I are generally excluded, as dinosauric anomolies from such calculations. Having met Bomber and Road Thing, I am inclined to suggest we pare yet more members from the aging Buell demographic.....as I sit here and look a a picture of Erik, Father Gess and I when we were kids. Well, Dave wasn't a kid, but WE were Court P.S. - Dave was excluded from being labled a "kid" in those days for reasons unrelated to chronological age. When you drive an old Saab 900 and have a beard, by default, you are handicapped 15 years in the equation. Dave U joined Dage G in those days and continues to till this day...the only thing they have going is brains....dull, dull, dull! |

Court, Are you saying that if I grow a beard I will be handicapped by 15 years. I already own a red 14 year old SAAB 900S. Damm, now I gotta sell the Saab to regain my youth. The best thing with a Saab is the Nuclear Reactor they have for a heater and the damm thing is almost as good as a 4wd in the snow (of course there are 4 studded deep lug snow tires on it) Boys, your talking like your the village elders, give it up. |

Newfer, SAAB 900's rock! Had to get rid of my '89 900S 'Sport' after 5 speeding tickets in less than two years.... A Turbo would'a bin the end of me.... Most sure footed automobile I've ever wrung out on dry pavement.... With Blizzaks all round it was a flippin snowmobile.... Man, I miss that car.... Slumming in a Saturn LRV for now (licence recovery vehicle).... So THIS is what it's like being a good citizen.... Almost as bad as the bus.... mutter mutter mutter... I HATE winter, Lornce |

most of the HD pilots I see wouldn't recognize a shovelhead, much less a Huey Slick . . .doesn't make em bad people (the profits generated from their purchases help fund the development that created my M2, afterall), but, the good news is, they're easy to spot! ================================================== Glad ya put that MOST in there Bomber 40 here but I feel 17 or so, just wish my body would agree with me. Ken, thats about the smartest thing you have said yet. Harleys are like anything else, there are people who buy them purely because they like the bikes, like to ride & like what Harleys have stood for..America. Then there are the poser pukes who buy them, store em in a heated garage with 3 covers on it, never start it up because it might lose its value. |

CJMBlast....You obviously haven't learned the key to southern belle communication, to wit: say anything you want about anybody and follow with the phrase "bless his (her) heart"....miraculous....it absolves you from any malicious intent. For example: "That bombahh, goin' ahround lak a village idjit not knowin' his ahhss from a hole in da groun', BLESS HIS HEART". See what I mean. jimmah from mississippi (damn its cold heah today) |

You call in to work saying, "my exhaust just broke, if I can get it fixed I'll be on time!" A guy tells you that you have "A NICE HARLEY!" at a stoplight, and another guy tells you that you bought "the wrong" brand. |

Has anyone left their Buell 100% stock? Anyone? Isn't that great? These bikes demand that you get involved and personalize them. |

Your in the unheated garage freezing your B*((s off just to get the primary cover and various other parts polished in time for riding season thats two months away. |

These bikes demand that you get involved and personalize them. I think that's true to an extent...some aftermarket stuff isn't as durable as stock...I've been chasing down solutions to some vibration related problems. I think I've finally got her bulletproof now. |

I don't know that these bikes demand that you get involved, more that they are very receptive and accomodating of owner involvement. |

Do you know ANYONE who has left his (or her) Buell 100% stock? The bikes demand it by bringing out such strong emotions. You can't help personalizing them. |

Mines still stock!. The Buell custom saddle, header & k&n are on order, or still in the box, as my M2 is behind a 4 foot ice damn locked in my buds garage. 250 miles on this, the rarest of all Buell models. (Stock) not for sale, I'm waiting for spring (come on spring) to begin customization. |
