Strangely, this item was included in a drop shipped delivery of a XB9 low seat that my wife recently ordered online.

There are no part numbers listed, other than the manufactures name on the shock (stabilus bloc-o-lift).

My guess is that it has something to do with a bike lift

Anybody know?

Cheers

That is an adjustable seat back for a Road King, it also allows the seat back to be removed without removing the seat.

Looks like a pneumatic mouse trap. Cool.

I've experimented with alternative mouse traps. The best one was a 5 gallon bucket with about 3 inches of water in the bottom and some peanut butter smeared on the inside of the bucket. It's a painful death, but then again, it's a mouse.

It's a FLARB bracket.

FL Adjustable Rider Backrest. The funny thing is that it's actually noted as a FLARB in some of the HD literature. I always got a chuckle when I read that.

No no no. What you have there is a Flerblewerfer. Don't you guys know a Flerbelwerfer when you see one? Its a hybrid of a doohicky and a whatchamacallit.

Pigeons = flying rats

Seagulls = flying racoons

I don't know what a flying bear is but if you see one, RUN!

Actually a jarhead.

I lived in the Coronado Shores (just south of the Hotel del, across from the Chart House), but went to Point Loma to run.

I lived in CA for a number of years, in Coronado, Manhattan Beach (summer of debauchery) and kept a weekend house in Marina del Rey for a couple years in the mid 90's and of the 44 states I've traveled on a Buell, CA is the only one where I have 19 - "#1 Favorite Places". . . Point Loma was likely the 3rd to arrive on the list.

I must say the subject device looks fully automatic and hydraulically damped....or as Blake would say "dampened".

: )

I believe that is an authentic German made Schwanzometer. You generally only see those at R.U.B. events and frat parties.

Isn't that a universal backrest of some kind for any model of bike.

"Isn't that a universal backrest of some kind for any model of bike".

Hmmm...I believe that more closely resembles a face rest!

Court,

Then you remember the "dinosaur cage" (FRD-10 HFDF array) as you came down the strand into I.B.? I was stationed there for two years ('67-68).

They had some old shore artillery bunkers along the beach in there that were a great place to party in the evening hours. And grunion hunting to die for! Get a battle lantern and trash can liner from the Ops building on the mid watch and go out and get yourself a bag full of good eating. For you easteners a grunion is a Hispanic smelt.

Coronado was a neat town, the old Del hotel was only about $20 a night back then.
