After 12 hours on my bike and most of it with my clutch pulled in, I am very sore and tired. It was a good course. It wasn't nightmarishly hard like I had been told, but it was still pretty frustrating to stay within the lines on the U-turns and the S turn. All in all, I am glad I took it, and I am glad it's over.

On a funny note, the rubber steering stop one the left side of my frame is missing and I have the Crossroads bars. Every time I went to do a slow left my bars would hit my tank and beep my horn. Some of the other students thought "What the hell is this guy doing?".

Good job, can you believe guys do that double U-turn on Goldwings? It gets easier with practice...

You did that class on your M2? Killer skills.

There were mostly Fatboys and Roadkings in my class. A lot of floorboard scraping going on. An Auburn motorcycle policeman showed up and was doing 360s with his floorboard planted.

Yes, I rode the M2. Thanks, I felt like I was the worst rider there. Anything above 15mph was fairly easy, under 15 was hard. I was expected to be in second gear most of the time too, but I would be bogging real bad going that slow in second.

I took it last spring. Also the only non-cruiser bike in the classs. Great experience. The trainers are very inpresive, mine was also a State Trooper. Once you really get an idea of how counter balance works everything seemed to come much easier at slow speeds. I did see a guy on a Electraglide and another on a Venture Royal drop their bikes and have great difficulty trying to pick them up. That looks a hernia just waiting to happened.
You may want to replace that steering bumper, if you bang it to the frame enough it will begin to chip the paint from the frame. I had lost several from my M2 before I used a quick set epoxy to hold them on.

I took the frame bumpers off, gave me a bit more to work with. I dropped my bike at a MSF ERC just after I bought it thinking the same wheel base as my prev bike would equal same turning radius. Duh

Watching those low HD's drag boards is pretty cool. I have a tough time at low speed on my m2 even dragging my rear brake. Power is pretty lumpy and hard to control. It's hard for me to get out-board far enough to feel like the counter weight is working. Practiced on a Yam TW the other day, it was fun.

I wonder how the XB's handle in that sort of course...
